Interesting to see some clips from the current production of Natasha, Pierre e O Grande Cometa de 1812 in São Paulo. I'm not sure how closely this staging matches the American productions; might anyone be able to shed light on that?
Certainly similar in tone/essence. Their set seems much more limited, however, so we see the actors in only one or two areas.
The very beginning is unlike the Boston or NY productions with the horses and battle. Our started with Natasha tearfully saying goodbye to Andre.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
It looked like 80% of the audience in the video were recording the show with their smartphones! Do you think that performance was for the media hence why recording was allowed?
Or by invite - 1/2 the sections were totally empty.

Seemed like a performance for the press

I'll be honest, my Portuguese is much too poor to be able to fully understand the caption, and the auto-translate is even more confusing. But one thing I can understand is that they're releasing some type of video, but whether it's an official "pro shot" so to speak or just an archival video, I'm unsure. Still - I can't wait! I just hope it's available in the US.

They said they will be releasing "a" video, not "the" video (it makes more sense in Portuguese), so it's likely another song, like they did with No One Else a couple weeks ago: https://www.instagram.com/p/CBIu8qMgGuJ/
(by the way yes, those first clips were performed at the press conference to be recorded - basically every musical in Brazil will hold one and perform a couple of songs for the press and then give interviews after. Generally the press can watch the full show later on the same day)
