Recently, the entrance at the top of Tina. Loved it.

Yes, that moment is beautiful. There have been times I heard people gasp after that.

The entrances of both Joe Hardy (Jerrod Emick) and Lola (Bebe Neuwirth) in the 1994 revival of Damn Yankees.

Katherine Hepburn coming down those stairs in her salon as COCO Chanel.  The night I saw it the audience wouldn't stop applauding her entrance and Kate even tried to speak her lines but got drowned out with even more applause.

I was actually just thinking of that re-vamped Lola entrance in the 94 revival. Such a big improvement over the original script where she's basically just sitting on stage when the lights come up at the top of that scene.

Speaking of Damn Yankees, when Cheyenne Jackson entered as Joe Hardy I was all, “DAYUM!” And I promptly bought myself a ticket to Xanadu!

Dolly in the title song is for sure the best ever. But some other favorites:

- the Leading Player in the 2013 Pippin revival
- Alexander Hamilton in Hamilton
- Both Elphaba and Glinda in Wicked
- Shakespeare in Something Rotten (both his cameo in the opening number and his first actual appearance for Will Power)

I also like in the script to Bye Bye Birdie that we hear so much about Birdie throughout the first half of the first act then when we finally do meet him, he says nothing (in Healthy Normal American Boy) before we finally hear him speak (sing) for the first time in Honestly Sincere. I think that's well crafted to build hype if it's a good person playing Birdie.

"Not sure if this counts, but the "entrance" of adult Joey in War Horse"

That was a brilliant piece of theater magic.

Also, Sally in the roundabout version of FOLLIES, and Gregory Hines in JELLY'S LAST JAM.

Maureen in Rent. Best entrance ever, and there's not even a close second.

Hamilton and Jefferson have been mentioned, and I think that Washington's entrance is pretty cool as well. Here comes the General - rise up!

Satine’s entrance in Moulin Rouge is pretty great, IMO. Surprised it hasn’t been mentioned yet.
