Hadestown and Moulin Rouge are a bit similar. (I’m aware that the latter is loosely based on the former.)
Penniless songwriter falls in love with a woman who wants a life of stability. They sing a song to promise each other that they will stay together no matter what hardships they face. (All I’ve Ever Known/Come What May). She dies or is forced to stay in Hadestown forever.
A friend of mine messaged her on Instagram and she said she’s going on for Bahiyah Hibah’s (ensemble) track, not Satine.
Hardest Roles Currently on Broadway Jul 14

I saw Moulin Rouge! yesterday and I think Christian is a pretty difficult role to play. Aaron Tveit was onstage for almost the entire show, and in addition to acting, singing, and dancing, he also served as the narrator. The character goes through a huge range of emotions and I think Tveit mastered Christian’s slow descent into madness and grief in Act 2.
Moulin Rouge seating Jul 1

I’m sitting in the right mezz, row H, seat 10 next weekend. I hope the view won’t be terrible but from pictures I’ve seen so far, the elephant’s trunk blocks a little bit of the stage if you’re sitting on the extreme sides of the right mezzanine. The view looks better from the left mezz, since I don’t think the windmill obstructs anyone’s view.

I saw a community theater production of Singin’ In The Rain last year, and “Make ‘Em Laugh” was pretty hilarious. Also, as another poster already mentioned, Stephanie J Block’s version of “I’m Breaking Down” was great.
Hi everyone! I’ll be visiting NYC on July 13th, and I already have a ticket to see Moulin Rouge! at 2pm that day. However, I really want to see Wicked again, too. Wicked has a 8pm show on July 13th. Assuming I do see the 8pm show, will I have enough time to stagedoor Moulin Rouge! and eat/make myself presentable before Wicked? This would be the first time I’ve tried to do this, and I just wanted to get some feedback from other posters on here who have seen two shows in one day. Th
Hugging Actors At Stage Door Jun 4

The only time I’ve hugged an actor (or in this situation, was the one being hugged by the actor) was at the stagedoor for the Wicked 2NT last summer. No barricades were set up, and it was late at night, so I was the only audience member waiting there. Mary Kate Morrissey was the one to initiate the hug after I rambled about her great performance and how much I can relate to Elphaba. I can’t remember if she asked if I wanted a hug or not, but I was definitely okay with it. It wasn’t awkward at al

I loved Amélie. I thought it was a super cute little show. I still put the cast recording on sometimes if I’m feeling down.
MEAN GIRLS TOUR CAST May 10

This is so exciting! I loved her as Elphaba, so I’m definitely thinking about making the two hour drive to Des Moines when the tour is there in October. Mary Kate is a STAR, and she’s going to be amazing in this role!
Sad American writer tells the tragic story of when he fell in love with a prostitute/performer in a nightclub/dance hall. There’s dancing, drinking, play writing, an elephant, and the color red. Lots and lots of red.

James Kerrigan2 said: "Jessica Vosk just said on her Instagram Story that a "show related announcement" is coming soon. Could this possibly be the announcement of the New Elphaba we've been speculating for weeks and Jess's Departure Date?"
It’ll probably just be the announcement that Ginna Claire is (most likely) the new Glinda, although maybe Jessica will announce her departure date too? Like a “Come see my new Glinda and I to

This is probably a stupid question but how would this affect the Beetlejuice and Moulin Rouge labs? Would the labs be canceled or rescheduled to a later date? Im a little confused, sorry.
Miles2Go2 said: "clearastheday, Mary Kate Morrissey (Elphaba) and Ginna Claire Mason (Glinda) were phenomenal, werent they? I saw them three times when it toured through Tulsa again this year. The repeat visits were largely because of them."
Yes, they were amazing! I saw them twice and they were just as good, if not better than second time. Definitely one of the best pairs Wicked ever had.
I managed to get a right mezz seat for about $150 (but with Ticketmaster fees it was $170) for a matinee in early July. Had to refresh the page a few times to find a mezz seat that wasn’t more expensive, since some of them were in the $200 or $300 range and I didn’t want to pay that much.
Excited to see Tveit and Olivo though! I’ve been a fan of Aaron for about five years but have never gotten the opportunity to see him on the stage. Saw Karen as Angeli
I haven’t gotten my code either, BroadwayConcierge. It said in the email I received that “All fans will receive their unique code before 12 PM EST on November 21st.” So I’m guessing the presale codes will be sent out early tomorrow morning.
I’m pretty sure MK was only out on Sunday matinees, and she was sick a week or two before her last show.
I would love it if she was Elphie on Broadway eventually, maybe as a standby. I know she said she’s a “retired Elphaba,” but people can come out of retirement.
