The Dr. Phillips Center has canceled the Tuesday performance, and are working to get all of the ticket holders from that performance into other shows, so unless they add a performance, I doubt there will be many tickets to available for discounts.

I would think that they would add another performance to make up for the canceled one.  Do they not do that?

^ if possible, they try to, but it may not be possible given the short time frame in which to make it up. This is a case of "force majeure," you'll just have to wait it out and see what happens.

I have no idea if you're a student or not, but they offer $30 student rush tickets two hours prior to the performance.

Also, the cast, like most of Orlando, did not evacuate, as we were not under any kind of evacuation order. Orlando is where many south Floridians evacuated to, in fact.

Hello All! Im catching this show in March, and I know thats a while from now but Im wondering if Laura Michelle Kelly will still be with the company? It seems as if she has been missing a lot of shows and just wanted to know before hand. Thanks!

I even love Laura Michelle Kelly now more than ever.

A friend is a local dresser for the K&I tour in San Jose. Last week, when she learned that his mother was ailing, she took a personal interest and has gone out of her way to be comforting and helpful. To quote him, "...it's true she is one of the nicest and generous stars on and off Broadway as well as having a Big [heart emoji]?"
I LOVED her performance last year when we saw it in SF (to be honest, even moreso than Kelli, who we saw in NY)

I look forward to seeing her in more roles in the future (and I will seek them out).

The only reason I purchased tickets to THE KING & I was to see Kelly who I truly enjoyed in MARY POPPINS. Unfortunately, she was out both times I attended the show last summer at THE KENNEDY CENTER. My first tickets were in the beginning of the run and then I returned again hoping I'd luck out in its final week. Her reviews were excellent which made it all the more disappointing. I have no idea what her track record was in FINDING NEVERLAND but maybe on tour things are more lax.

Which leads to ask does anyone know when this week Ms. Kelly and Mr. LLana are performing. Because I am going on Sunday at 1 pm

A bit out of left field, but in the best way. I've been wondering about her, she's been missing from the scene too long.

I saw the show last Sunday and it was beautiful. Laura & Jose were excellent as the two lead characters. And the staging snuggles in with the music

Saw the Saturday afternoon show in Tucson.  Both Laura Michelle Kelly and Jose Llana performed and were great (as expected).  The show definitely played to a packed house.

Tomorrow will be Kelly's last two performances on the tour before the tour moves up north to Tempe (with Elena Shaddow taking over the role of Anna from Tempe onward).

I noticed that Playbill's Current and Upcoming National Tours page lists The King and I as "Non-Equity beginning Fall, 2018".  I guess its safe to say the national tour cast will be changing?

I just saw today that Laura Michelle Kelly has left the show. Does anyone know when she departed?

Yes, @azleafcat, the tour will go non-union in the fall with a new (obviously non-union) cast.

Now that the non-equity cast has been announced does anyone know who are the “king” and “Anna” plastered all over the website? I don’t believe either of them were apart of the original tour nor this upcoming one. http://thekinganditour.com/
