Having seen Mandy twice now, I'd also like to see someone new in the role. And a new Eliza.
Contracts are usually a year long, and Mandy signed on for early sept. Unless she extends, you will be out of luck (But considering it's the end of august, I feel like she may have extended or we'd have heard something about a new Angelica by now)

Yes, but keep in mind over at Hamilton announcements with casting could occur with only days' notice. Remember how much notice was given regarding Daveed Diggs's exit?
Wasn't Mandy Elphaba for almost 2 years? And she was in In the Heights for even longer. She's not going to leave until they stop offering her extensions. That baby lovesssssssss to play a part out.
In the Heights for about two years yes, but Wicked was only nine months. Calm down. I was underwhelmed by her performance so I am ready for a new Angelica.
I have read a fair share of gripes about Gonzalez, who I have not seen as Angelina and only know from video of In the Heights, in which she seemed excellent. To her critics, what's lacking?
She's had trouble with her raps since the beginning and can never seem to get the flow of it all. While her voice is powerful and beautiful (and I loved her in Wicked and In The Heights) I don't think it fits with Angelica. She doesn't command the role like Karen or Renee did, and Angelica kind of fades into the background. I also felt she caraciturized the role whereas other Angelicas I've seen humanize her. Mandy winked and gestured too much to the audience.

I saw her twice, once in January and once about a month ago
I adored her in the role when I saw her in January. Her Angelica seemed very quick thinking - delivery was kind of clipped, making it seem like the lines were coming even faster - which made her a good match for Hamilton. Her Satisfied was wonderfully tragic, her natural reserve suited the role well (I like Angelica to have a natural reserve. Which is why I'm less a fan of Olivo's, it's something I like to see more of) and her entrance in The Reynolds Pamphlet was just breathtaking.
Come july, she had made a lot of changes and gone in a different direction with the role, one I was not fond of. Still a valid interpretation of the character, but not one I preferred. Her connection with Hamilton was minimal and read primarily like it was only her fantasy rather than a real connection, and she came off as much more aggressive than Renee or Olivo (Or how I saw her originally)
In the times I saw her I did not find she had trouble with the raps, nor was she hard to understand, though as I noted she has a different delivery of the raps and is a lot less measured than Renee
I've seen Mandy multiple times as Angelica, and every time, she is the weak link in the cast for me. "Satisfied" is no longer a heart-wrenching showstopper; it's just a song that Angelica sings (and slightly struggles with the fast raps). MyLife got it right when saying she "winked and gestured" a lot, which is a bizarre character choice for Angelica, who should be personifying charisma, elegance, innate brilliance. "It's Quiet Uptown" wasn't profound and emotional; it was just Angelica stepping out to start the next song. As talented a performer as I think Mandy is, I have really, really not enjoyed her take on Angelica, and hope her next project comes sooner than later.
Edit: A friend of mine who had never seen/listened to Hamilton before saw the show a couple of months ago, with Mandy as Angelica. During our conversation, I asked her, "Isn't 'Satisfied' amazing?," and she had to genuinely ask me, "Which character sang that again?" When you had Renée or even Alysha Deslorieux as Angelica, "Satisfied" was one of, if not the standout performance of the entire show. Mandy just isn't memorable in this role, and memorability is the essence of Angelica.
this doesn't sound good for those hoping she didn't extend.
"
The "next year" of her life meaning that yesterday was her birthday (but as far as I'm aware she did extend).
I saw her very early on in her run and thought she was brilliant. Haven't seen the show since then so I have no further thoughts.

I must mock myself here, now that it's too late to quietly edit that mistake. Apparently, when he said hi, I forgot Angelica's dang name.
