Future of Diner the Musical |
I reviewed the Delaware production and it was one of the most clueless musical endeavors I've ever seen. Crow's score captures neither the music of the era or anything remotely related to classic musical theater. The performances were all over the place, and Marshall's production was glacial. It deserves its quiet death in the hinterlands.
Read Michael Riedel's column on Harry Potter coming to Broadway and all 3 theatre owners are fighting to get the show in their house and offering prime rail estate. He also says that for other shows, you take your number and wait in line, some never get called, as always being usurped by something better, thinking Minskys here and Prince of Broadway.

It's not good. But worse things have opened on Broadway.
I hated it in Virginia. Thought it was a complete waste of an afternoon. I understand why it was attempted, but it just didn't work.
