this is a terrific cast, all top notch, with many whom have done tours before. I do wonder why this was made into a SETA contract, that's what the casting call said. This has been a very profitable show on Broadway, and is not that expensive to tour with the small size set. Also, I noticed that the upcoming Charlie and the Choc Factory tour has its casting call as being a production contract, which doesn't make sense for a show that fared poor
Getting off the topic of how much longer this will run, I will say that the box office people are less than genuine. No signs on the doors over the weekend informing folk that Melissa Benoist was out, although it was well known that SAT and SUN she would be out due to a comic convention in San Diego and an understudy would be on. When I was in line for rush tickets I didn't hear anyone mention to customers that by the way, Melissa is out today. I knew this, but I d
I was wondering if anyone knew who was playing Carole the next 2 days at the Sondheim Theatre. I believe Chilina left on Sunday, and the new replacement doesn't start until Thursday.
Does anyone know who's covering Carole on tues/wed? The swing Sara Sheperd. Or kennedy caughell (does anyone know if she has gone on yet). Or a combo of the two? thanks.
I was very surprised when I saw this casting call. Granted Fiddler did have tough financial times, but was reviewed very well and was a pretty high profile revival. I do wonder about some of the recent SETA tours that have not done well such as Bridges and Bright Star; I wonder if the attendance problems they encountered may be the impetus for more things going out non-equity. But then again, a lot of things don't make sense - Anastasia and Come From Away hav

I just saw Hello Dolly again with Bernadette Peters, who of course is fabulous, but I have a variety of weird observations and wonderings about the show. the show seems to be 2:40 run time now, and I thought they had it down to about 2:35 with bette. it started out at about 2:45 at the beginning of previews, but they did a good job of shaving some of that time off as the show went along and seemed to have it down to 2:35.
I just saw a wonderful off-Broadway play at the Players Theatre called ONE NATION ONE MISSION ONE PROMSE that is currently a part of the 20at20 program. I was wondering if anyone else has seen it and what their thoughts are. The show is kind of like Ragtime in a sense, and sort of like 1776 without the music, and sort of like Hamilton, but without the music and the fanfare. The play, which does have music and singing at times, is kind of like a historical "r
Mary Page Nance sure look a lot like C Cusack, she may be the next Alice Murphy. Or perhaps Alison Briner is being moved from the ensemble to the role of A Murphy, and Nance is taking over her track. Liana Hunt is really good, maybe she's taking over the role of Lucy or Margo. I heard that the "Sun is going to shine again" song was changed for the tour, I heard only Alice Murphy sings it now; the other company members don't sing portions o
Does anyone know? Of course Fairchild/Scribner, etc and Leanne Cope did 6 shows each on Broadway, and their alternates normally did not do the same show. That was the case in American in Paris on the tour in the fall of 2016 when it started with Scribner and Esty. does anyone know more about how it is now? Any clue what shows Deanna Doyle does?
I have an extra Orchestra ticket to SpongeBob Squarepants for Thursday, DEC 14 at 7pm. It is in Orchestra Row R, 3 seats off the center aisle. Please direct message me if interested. thanks. 70.00
I was wondering if anyone could provide me some insight on how much change a director/production staff is allowed to make in a show that has been licensed out to them by MTI, Samuel French, Inc, etc. Obviously any kind of alteration/cutting of songs must be approved by the licensing company. Any deletion or addition of lines must receive permission. But somebody told me that even drastic changes in choreography generally don't need prior approval, and that ev
Kara Lindsay sang God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch. She was introduced as the newest star of Beautiful the Carole King Musical, and was wearing a Beautiful shirt. they did introduce her as "coming off her acclaimed run in Wicked"
No announcement has been made of course elsewhere, but I guess Lindsay is going to be the next Carole. That's a great role for her, and she is
Everyone is entitled to express however they feel about an understudy, that's a consumer's right and prerogative. But when I read a sentence about Nathan Madden being ...."a decent actor..." - I have to speak up...You should've seen him go as jerry Mulligan in An American in Paris...I saw him go on several times....he was brilliant...flawless in a very difficult role. Perhaps Cornelius isn't a role he can flourish in quite like in
I've seen Sunset twice now, the show is fabulous, the music, Glenn Close, the staging and set, everything is fantastic.
However, I do like seeing understudies go on in high profile roles. Does anybody if Nancy Anderson is scheduled to go on any specific days for Glenn Close? Does Close have any scheduled days where she has conflicts and cannot perform? I would think this info would be listed on the website, but there may n
I am interested if anyone knows about this because there are a lot of ensemble people in this show that I'm very interested in but under ordinary circumstances with Close having so many people waiting for her it would be impossible to get a spot out there. I'm not really that interested in meeting Close, but those ensemble members sure have been in a lot of great shows. My best bet is to find a time when Close doesn't come out, or her understudy
I saw this 5 times at the kennedy center; I 've seen wicked about 30 times between the Gershwin and the tours. everyone is fantastic on stage
Everyone comes out, but be quick, they'll all walk right by you if you don't stop them. Kristen martin seems to be the first one out, then followed by Jillian Butler/Allison Bailey, etc others. Cooper and Vosk always come out and look for their fans at the end; they know people are waiting for them
