I have two items:

The first an Will Rogers Follies Playbill, It's the first show I ever saw on Broadway.  The only thing I remember from it was the massive dance break in Willamania.

The second is an Chicago playbill and program from either 1975-1976 that I got for pretty cheap off of Ebay.  Not do I enjoy looking at it but I also like looking at the old advertisements, I know it's kind of odd.

So, what are your favorite items.

I guess all my ticket stubs, clippings, playbills from the good old days. I can't really single out one, because it would be like trying to pull a thread out of a precious silk tapestry. Together, they summon up the most beautiful of memories.

It's basic, but I've got an OBC Rent playbill which, as of now, I've had signed by Idina, Taye, Rapp, Daphne, Jessie L Martin and Wilson Jermaine Heredia. Working on getting em all, but yeah, definitely a piece I'm highly sentimental over

The only really significant thing I have is a program from the tour of Sweeney Todd signed by Angela Lansbury. I've always been obsessed with that production, so it's nice to have for the pictures as well as her signature.

I also have various props/costume pieces from shows I've done, and those are the things that mean the most to me since I have such personal memories attached to them.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Mine would be my Club Elphaba Window Card Featuring some Glindas from Wicked. Of my MANY signed posters this is easily my favorite, and I love seeing their face when I ask a New Elphie to sign it. 11 Elphabas, 7 Glindas and various other notable cast members so far!.

Mine would definitely be my three makeup masks worn on stage in 'Priscilla, Queen of the Desert' including the mask Nick Adams wore while performing the Aria on the giant stiletto heel. They are really just the coolest!!

1st picture:  The Chicago National Tour cast : Jan. 2015 in San Antonio, TX (with Terra C and Bianca Marroquin) signed this programme, along with a signed coffee mug.  I was touched.  2nd picture:  I got to visit Miss Patti in her dressing room during her run in "Sweeney" on Broadway.  3rd picture:  She signed this Norma Desmond AIWNSG photo.

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Mine is the signed dog tags worn by James Snyder in the performance of If/Then I saw which I have in a glass lantern with the signed Playbill behind it. If/Then was the show that made me decide to go to New York so to own a prop/costume piece from the show is so special to me. Plus, the interaction I had with James while buying it was amazing.

It might be my OBC Wicked window card. It's not signed or anything, but they're hard to find [at a decent price] nowadays.

The Hamilton window card that I got signed by every OBC member at the stage door the first time I went to the show. Sometimes I glance over at it and just let a single teardrop fall down my cheek.

The pink leather fringes that would fall off Hedwig's costume every night and I'd get them from the stage while checking the house for lost and found.

The Playbill for Dogfight signed by the entire original cast. So enamored with the show, its score and that beautiful production. Sidenote- Had it transferred Lindsay Mendez would have taken that Tony from Patina Miller without a fight.

  • Annie Get Your Gun playbill and CD signed by Bernadette
  • Drowsy Chaperone CD signed by original cast
  • Wicked playbill signed by Idina and Kristin. It's from the performance right after Idina won the Tony - won the lottery and sat front row
  • I inherited part of my great-grandmother's old playbill collection. Mostly shows that I had never heard of before, but she did have the original "My Fair Lady" playbill, I believe.
  • Old theatre magazine from when Bernadette was in Dames at Sea. My mentor knew that I loved looking through his precious copy, and out of the blue he mailed it to me as a gift years later :)
  • Light in the Piazza program signed by Kelli. I only got this signed last year. I chatting with Kelli at The King and I stage door about how Piazza changed my sister's life (she has a learning disability). The most meaningful stage door conversation ever.

Complete male finale costume from the original production of A CHORUS LINE.  The hand beading is extensive and absolutely exquisite. Sadly no top hat (yet).

I have a personalized signed copy of the original cast album of Floyd Collins, my favourite musical. I met Adam Guettel before a Piazza matinee at Shaw Festival and he graciously inscribed it with: "Thanks wonderful Michael. You make my work possible"

It's proudly on display in my house.

A picture of Chita and I at the stagedoor of Studio 54. We had just had a conversation where I mentioned a past encounter with her, when her daughter Lisa Mordente was in the musical "Platinum", and she remembered.

I have the opening night bill from the Met's MAHAGONNY framed with Lotte Lenya's signature.  It was the first show I did in New York (as a super), and we met during rehearsals.  Another treasure is my program from HELLO, DOLLY! in 1968 signed by Pearl Bailey and Cab Calloway.  It was my first Broadway show and she kissed me from the runway during her curtain call.  I still have the lipstick smears in my program.  I guess I would also have to include my signed Hirschfeld of FOLLIES.
