Mamma Mia! is starting performances at its new home tonight. Is anyone on here going? Curious to hear about any changes.

Mamma Mia! at the Broadhurst

I personally am not going, but I noticed they are changing the playbill design for the move!

The new logo is okay although the arms look a bit odd, I guess this design will be rolled out to international productions in the coming months,

I like it--it was time for a change and this was the perfect time to do it. However, i think it would look better with the lettering on the far left and the logo on the right.

I think the braided headband is a nice, modern touch.

The Broadhurst looks decent with the Mamma Mia signage although i think the billboard on top of the theatre would have better with just the logo of Sophie rather than the logo and Mamma Mia lettering.

They changed her hair, took away her gloves and gave her a bouquet, a necklace and earrings. Okay...

Aren't most Sophies blonde? Seemes an odd choice to always have her played blonde if the logo looks like a 40 year old Julia Roberts?

Here's a curtain pic from Instagram. Looks like the false proscenium is significantly downsized and there's now a weird gobo on the curtain.

I just feel bad for all the people sitting in the audience in that picture because they're all about to see MAMMA MIA.

Why must they keep it open?

The 3 theaters on the northern side of W. 44th. St. all have imports from London. If the 2 remaining theaters on the street were empty, what transfers would take them?

I agree that the top billboard should be just Sophie, not the title. Anyone go to it yet?

All three marquees are blue... Phantom, Mamma Mia and Matilda.... Boring

That theater needs a pressure-wash. It looks so drab compared to the marquee.

I liked how when Grease was at the Eugene O'Neil they painted the whole facade... I would love to see them paint the theatre blue... Make it seem like the its the show's home both inside and out.
