Curious if anyone was there? I believe his first performance was on Sunday. He also debuted a new cabaret act at Birdland Monday night. I am a fan.. so just curious.
I was at his first performance (yes, it was Sunday.) It was my first time seeing the show so I have nothing to compare it to (the fact that it was his first performance was pure coincidence), but I thought he did a fine job. He had great chemistry with the cast and got a lot of laughs. He received entrance applause too. There was no formal announcement saying he was joining the show; there was only a slip in the playbill with his bio and his name on the understudy board.
One thing that really irked, his wig, or lack thereof. He seemed to have just had his hair sprayed gray. It looked weird. Really weird. I'm hoping he'll have a wig made soon, even though he is just a "temporary" replacement (if one hasn't been made already.)
If anyone has specific questions, I'd be more than happy to (attempt to) answer!
Saw him at Wednesday's matinee. Thought he was very good. Would never have guessed he was only playing it for the third time. Seemed totally at ease in the role and completely in sync with the rest of the cast.
I wouldn't mind at all if Seiber replaces Mann in January. Maybe Rachelle Rak can replace d'Amboise as Fastrada??
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

This question might contain a SPOILER!*****************
Please avert your eyes if you haven't see Pippin yet (what are you waiting for, by the way?)!
Does Siebert do the same knife-throwing act as Mann? I guess it was an illusion of some sort, but it looked plenty real to me. It seems as though it would take some skill and training to do that!
I saw him on Tuesday night, and thought he was great in the role. Though, it was my first time seeing the show, so I can't provide any Terence Mann counterpoint.
I bought the ticket a while ago, once Andrea Martin's departure was announced, although at that time, Mann's vacation was not known. I'd've liked to catch the OBC intact, but with his dates and her departure, I can't imagine I'd be at Pippin again that quickly... plus I had such a great seat...
(DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT)
The knife-thrower uses slight-of-hand to hide the knife after "throwing" it. The knives come from the back of the board where Fastrada stands. (The illusion is carried through more because we see Pipping actually throwing knives at a photo of Charles a little earlier. Hence why he's only about two feet away from the box.) I imagine any actor playing Charles, especially with the coat he wears, will be able to be trained in the skill necessary to do the knife-throwing trick.
Saw him at the matinee on Wednesday. Hadn't seen Mann to compare, but thought Sieber was excellent. Hard to believe he was just a few-day replacement. Very funny, in great voice, nailed every laugh line.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
