Usdan Students in World Premieres at 8/1 Gala

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the nationally renowned summer arts camp for students 6-18, whose alumni include Mariah Carey, Natalie Portman, Olivia Thirlby and Jane Monheit, will present World Premieres in music and dance at its August 1 Gala: the Usdan Jazz Ensemble will perform the premiere of R'nB, by Ted Rosenthal, called by the New York Times "A new leader in jazz." Also, there will be a newly choreographed version of George Gershwin's "An American In Paris," by Broadway choreographer/Usdan Dance Chair Maurice Brandon Curry, performed by the Senior Orchestra and Senior Ballet Ensemble.
