Hey everyone! Tomorrow will be my first time going to Joe's Pub (for Gavin Creel, can't wait!). Since I'm not familiar with the area, I was just wondering what would be the best way to get there from Penn Station? Also, anyone know of any good places for a bite to eat in the area?
Thanks for any help!

From Penn Station exit on the 7th Ave side, turn left and walk up to 34th Street. Take a right, walk 1 block to Broadway and get on the N train going downtown. Go 4 stops to 8th Street - NYU. Get off, walk 1 block east to Lafayette Street. The Public will be to your right about a third of the way down the block.
Yes, the construction is extensive! I bet it will be nice when it's finished. I just got back from seeing "No Where to Go" at Joe's Pub, and it was the first time I had been there. Very nice venue. Good views from almost anywhere you sit. I would recommend you eat at Joe's Pub. The salads were amazing, and so huge that both my friend and I were very satisfied splitting one. The sandwiches looked good too. Definitely better than I had expected. And I enjoyed the show too!
thank you! I'll be moving to the city at the end of summer for school, but till then my knowledge only reaches from Columbia to Penn Station.
once again, thanks for the help and suggestions—knew I could count on you!
