Did anyone see that Travis Wall has his own show on Oxygen coming out? All the Right Moves. From what I can gather its about a new dance company he's founded. Starting the end of July after the Glee contest show.
Hope that doesn't mean he wont be choreographing for SYTYCD.

I liked Tyce's choreography last night -- guess that mean I will dislike anything else he does for the rest of the season.
I have often found that when he does contemp. I like his work. It's his b'way choreo that I dislike.
And it was so wonderful to have Mia back!!! (Although she looked really odd -- has she been ill? It looked like she had a bad wig on, which made me wonder if she has been battling cancer.)

I really enjoyed it too, though I admit, I found Tyce's Broadway routine as lacklustre as most of his Broadway choreography (at least this time he didn't rip off a better, famous Broadway routine as he has in the past, I suppose). To give him credit, I do like the occasional contemporary pieces he does MUCH better, and sometimes pretty great. I mean Nappy/Tab showed much more character and story in their pieces than he does in his Broadway numbers.
I also am a big fan of the male/female winner format--and the fact that people don't vote for their fave couple but their fave individual dancers from the start. Seems a lot more fair. Will be interesting to see how the show works tomorrow with the elimination combined in, though I think it was the smart way to go.
It stinks that the show will not be on for another two weeks. understand that they do not want to compete against the Olympics, but I remember that season 4 did air while the 2008 Bejing Olympics were going on. But I guess times are different now. In the meantime, the show won the Televsion Critics Assciation Award for Outstaing Reality Progamming.
Honestly, two weeks seems like a long time--I remember it airing in the past during the Olympics too, and I'm not sure how much of their audience would be missing for a two hours show. But I suppose if Days of Our Lives fans can go without their fix for two weeks...
I'm kinda mixed now on the new restults/voting format. I still prefer cramming it into one show, without all the filler, but, for example with last week, it seemed unfair that the dancers booted off did one of the better routines that week, but audience votes had already been cast (granted, the judges kept their performance in mind, but still...). But I'm glad to see it win best reality program (and very glad Cat finally got nominated for an Emmy as best host, it was bizarre how she kept on being ignored in the past).
Ah well, see how in touch I am? Still, she had better win. (Especially since Fox saddled her with that dismal dating "celebrity" game as well--how embarassing).
Saddled her? She isn't chattel, they can't just force her to do a second show.
I'm sure she's getting well paid.

Oh of course she is, and earlier in her career she did some awful stuff in the UK. I wasn't being fully sewrious, though I did read that it was part of her contract for getting an hour less of SYTYCD, Fox had an easy option to get her to do another show for them due to contract issues (but again, I doubt she was forced).
It anyone watching Oxygen's "reality" show All The Right Moves? It's not bad, though obviously somewhat scripted (it's paired with The Glee Project), and stars Travis Wall, Nick (the pre-Cat season one winner who I had kinda forgotten about but is, according to the show, Travis' best friend), and Teddy and Kyle who apparently are sometimes dancers on Dancing with the Stars (which I've not seen enough of to recognize them), living together and forming a dance company. By no means brilliant, but as far as those kinds of shows go, I'm enjoying it. One random comment, is a fair amount of drama is based on the fact that Travis and Nick are openly gay and the other two are straight (as well as Travis still being close to his high school girlfriend, etc), which is nice to see after SYTYCD used to go so far out of their way to make the dancers seem straight (something that has improved the past few seasons--Nigel seems less terrificed of doing anything where the men don't meet his definition of masculine).
I am recording the season finale right now. I really enjoyed this season. It was one of my favorite seasons. Some of my favorite moments were watching Alex Wong dance again and seeing Mia return to choreograph.
I am so happy for the winners! VERY WELL DESERVED! Both girls are from Florida! South Florida really knows how to turn out great dancers- wish they brought some of that up to NE Florida!
So glad about who won--and that Nigel's increasingly obnoxious statements to rig voting backfired (ie last week he went on about how he wasn't voting for Cyrus, over and over,to try to get people to vote for Cyrus...)
It was so tight between the last two girls. They were both great! Like what Tiffany alluded to, they didn't show her much at the beginning so voters didn't get her story. I hate that part of these shows- so manipulated.
They really are. Dance in many ways seems better than other contest/reality shows in terms of manipulation--but the auditions really are badly edited for that (as are, like I said, Nigel's comments. Seriously, if he wasn't the creator/producer of the show, he could never get away with some of his comments).
I didnt think the competition was even close for the girls. Eliana was brilliant every week, imo. So glad she won, even tho Tiffany was quite good and seemed very sweet, Eliana deserved it. She goes into my all time favorite file with Sabra, Jeanine and Melanie.
I was also glad Chehon won, but didnt expect it since Cyrus was never in the bottom and that jackass Nigel was clearly trying to manipulate the vote. I still think George was the better dancer, tho.
Fun season though, and Tyce is such a tool.
