Now that the holiday season here, how are the show rushes and lotteries? I want to take my friends to see In The Heights and see other shows before they close. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

This past Thursday (12/2), the In the Heights lottery ended with five tickets left over. I imagine it will be harder on peak days and as the month progresses.

In The Heights lotto tonight had about 40 people. The guy went through calling the names very quickly, so it was hard to keep track of how many people were left over.

The Scottsboro Boys rush today was packed towards the end. There were maybe 15 people there at 11. By noon, there were probably around 40.

I was wondering the same thing, I wonder how the student rush has been for Elf lately? It seems to be selling well...

There were at least 40-50 people at the BBAJ lottery this past Monday night, but they offered a lotto loser discount of $36.50 for seats in the mezzanine (which is none too shabby).

What about COLIN QUINN? I'm going tomorrow to see BBAJ and I hoped to catch the 5PM after BBAJ ended.

I saw ALNM had a student rush. Where are those seats and how quickly are tickets snapped up?

Has anyone done the general rush for Spiderman and if so, are the seats worth it? This is one show where if the view from the rush seats is poor, I'd rather spend more money to just buy a better seat.

I stopped by the Foxwoods box office a few days ago to ask. The man working the box office said that they don't have rush every day, and if they do, seats are partial view, on the extreme sides.

At the BBAJ matinee rush yesterday, there were 54 people (I counted). It was crazy.

On the other end however, COLIN QUINN rush is no big deal. I asked the guy about the 5pm (since someone on here told me they don't generally do rush the 5pm and 8pm on Saturday) and he asked me how many I needed. I only got one for myself. So if you are looking for a hole to fill, here is a possible (and enjoyable) option.

Cape Twirl, I rushed Spider-Man yesterday and it seems to be random...I was 4th on line and I got 2 tickets for the evening performance, and one was in row S of the orchestra and the other was row T on the very end of the rows. My friend and I were able to switch seats with someone and sit together. The seats were very very good, we could see the whole stage and also all of the flying that was going on above our heads. I think it depends on whatever they have left though, the box office guy had paper clipped stacks of tickets next to him that he was handing out for rush. If anyone cares, I got there at 8:45...the line didn't seem to start to get long until about 9:15 or 9:30.

And Bloody Bloody lotto for the matinee yesterday was nuts...I lost but I picked up the last 2 $36.50 tickets in the rear mezz. My friend and I weren't sitting together but the back of the mezz in the Jacobs is fine.

As of last week, I observed (and participated in one) a couple of lottos. 'In the Heights' had a good crowd. We didn't win that one, but we did take advantage of the $41 lotto loser seats (which weren't bad at all; the lady in front of us had paid $90 for her ticket). The Next to Normal lotto had a good sized crowd, so a lot of people left without tickets. Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson lotto was INSANE. They offered lotto loser seats, but they even sold out of those. Let's just say that when it came to Next to Normal and BBAJ, we were SO glad we had our tickets and weren't relying on luck to get our tickets, as our chances would have been pretty slim.

It's nice to know BBAJ has some sort of popularity, but then again, a show cannot survive on lottery and rush people.

Yeah, it's a shame that those people weren't around buying tickets before the closing notice went up.

My best friend got us rush tickets to Spider-Man this past Friday. He got there at 9am and was about 13th in line. He was able to get us two tickets. Just like perfectly marvelous, our tickets were Orchestra row S seat 29 and row T seat 29. Our seats were perfect! We were able to see every little thing.

I didn't hear them say anything about lotto loser seats the day I was there. Now, whether that's because I really just didn't hear or they didn't say, I don't know. /unhelpful

I checked out some shows this weekend:

BBAJ - I lost both times I went. Lots of people! They had lotto loser seats available.

N2N - I lost the first time, large crowd. I won the second time. They did have lotto loser seats available for both shows. Lots of people are trying for this show.

Spiderman rush - you get tickets when the box office opens. Get there at least an hour before if you're going on a weekend. I got there at 9 and was towards the front of the line. By 930ish the line was pretty long.

How much are the general rush seats for SPIDER-MAN? You don't have to be a student, do you, as it's "general"? Thanks.
