If no one's there tonight I can share the validity of this tomorrow when I get home from the show.

your seats should be pretty good actually. I was in row L to the extreme right side when I saw the show, and could see everything on stage very well (with the exeption of some of the action that took place on the extreme right side of the stage) so being 2 rows farther back will make sight lines even better.
froggy2, your seats should be fine...I had much closer all the way to the side (I believe row E?) and they were excellent seats. I only missed a bit of the set on the side but nothing was really going on that far over.
It also looks like the performance will be filmed, I saw a video truck outside tonight. So I'm sure it'll be an even greater performance. I might have to go back this weekend if I have time!

What a great night. The audience was super vocal tonight and gave the actors a lot to work with. The show was in fact filmed this evening and the CD is on sale in the lobby. I'm sad that this was my final time seeing it as the show closes on Sunday, but the cast seemed to be keeping their chins up at the stage door. All of them were so thankful that people came to see the final few shows. Lots of smiles tonight; no tears.
What exactly is the deal with this show? Is it closing or moving to the Neil Simon theater? I have heard all kinds of rumors floating around concerning the show and somehow Andrew Loyd Webber. Does anybody know? I really want to see this and cannot this weekend (glad there's a CD though).
Riedel's column yesterday talks about the transfer than could've been, and in fact it was the infamous Garth Drabinsky who was trying to pull the strings.
I read that Taylor Frey is going on as Woody tomorrow, so I may try and see it again if I have time.

As for Taylor Frey going on tomorrow, that was planned before closing was announced. I am not sure whether or not that plan still stands seeing as it's closing weekend. Cheyenne said something tonight at the stage door about how this will be a busy week with the closing, so I have no idea.
According to Broadway Understudies Taylor is going on for Friday night's show and Brian Sears will be Woody for the Saturday matinee. There is nothing listed for Saturday night so I have to imagine that Cheyenne will be on Saturday night and Sunday

If he's flying commercial, in order to be back for the matinee on Saturday, he'll have to take a connecting flight that leaves LAX around midnight and gets into LaGuardia at 11:00 am. The last nonstop leaves around 10pm. Of course, if he flies in a private jet...

When is the cast recording being released on iTunes?
The official release date is February 2nd, I believe, so it should be on iTunes then.
They always sell the recording at the theater before it is available elsewhere. Especially if the show is closing before then.

I'm listening to the cd right now and so far I'm enjoying it. Wish I could hear it live again though.
I also wanted to share that not only is the cd available at the theatre but they're selling collectible programs for $5. They didn't have these the last time I saw the show.

Was hoping they'd have it last Friday when I saw the show. Alas I'll have to wait 2 weeks until the official release. I haven't looked forward to a theatre CD this much in a very long time.
