Posted: 11/22/09 at 7:53pmI'm seeing N2N on sunday and I wanted to know how good Aaron is. I've seen Kyle Dean Massey and thought he was brilliant. I'm sure Aaron's great if not better but I just wanna know what people think.

I went to see N2N expecting Aaron and actually saw Kyle and I have to say I LOVE Kyle!

Posted: 11/22/09 at 10:59pmI think Aaron is an alright performer, but everyone hypes him up to be this star and I just don't feel that way about him. I would have to say Kyle was a more interesting performer to watch and I find Aaron overacting at times and singing with weird vowels. Oh being a performer watching other performers can be brutal sometimes, we're so catty.

Posted: 11/23/09 at 3:33amI saw them both and I liked Kyle a lot more than Aaron. I saw them both as Fiyero in Wicked and thought the same thing too(not that that matters...LOL).

To me, Kyle was like Aaron-lite. Trying really hard to emulate the performance but not quite getting it.
(I know plenty of people that love him, though!)

I like them both, but prefer Kyle. Aaron seems to leave character when he's not in the spotlight, which annoys me, and I thought Kyle was stronger vocally. I wouldn't complain about seeing either, though, both are good.
Make up your own mind when you see Aaron, though.

Posted: 11/23/09 at 10:28pm^Funny, I have the exact opposite opinion. I think Aaron is significantly better vocally and I was often drawn to him when he wasn't the focus of the scene because he was so engaged and in the moment the whole time.

At least the weird vowels part... wouldn't that make him doubly as convincing as Alice Ripley's son? I love them both but you've got to admit that Alice pronounces things really strangely when she sings.

Posted: 11/24/09 at 1:02amHaving seen both, I have to go with Aaron. The smoothness of his voice alone to me screams the part of Gabe. I liked Kyle but I really felt like he was...well...subbing for Aaron. I didn't feel half as connected to him as I did when Aaron was in it. I think Kyle's very good don't get me wrong, I liked him, but I feel like Aaron gives a far more satisfying performance and I have to add myself to what Elphaba3 said, I thought he was always engaged and you were drawn to him.

POSSIBLE SPOILER:
As I said, I thought they were both great. I felt that Kyle's approach was a little different, a little warmer, which made his reconciliation scene with his father at the end more moving to me.
Each one highlighted different facets of the character. And that's good.
