I heard Daniel Radcliffe is going to be in a workshop of HTSIBWRT.
Actually, I don't use abbreviations that often. I don't see what's so hard about typing a few extra letters.
"You drank a charm to kill John Proctor's wife! You drank a charm to kill Goody Proctor!" - Betty Parris to Abigail Williams in Arthur Miller's The Crucible
Thank you, PalJoey! It takes longer for people to decipher whatever acronym is being used (especially for shows no one else is discussing) than it does to type an actual word or two.
Just type the stupid word! By the time I figure out how to type the acronym TPAAOJPMAPBTIOTAOCUTDOTMDS, or even actually type it, I could have just typed Marat/Sade. The use of acronyms does not make anyone smarter, younger, more special, an industry insider, a more devoted fan, or more popular. Just lazier.
"What can you expect from a bunch of seitan worshippers?" - Reginald Tresilian
I agree. I'm only 25, but I can't even follow what some of these stand for.
When I see BBB, I assume it would be for the Better Business Bureau because that's what their website is. But then, talking about that on this board would be plain silly.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
I'm guilty of some of those, but I much prefer "Sunday..." to SITPWG. It always looks like "sit pig" to me.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

But then shouldn't it be T25APCSB? I mean, the official title is 25th, not Twenty-Fifth.

I'm 24 and I was the first person to complain about BBB.
If you want to bring ageism into it, younger people were raised on computers and have spry fingers, so they should be able to type out the full titles in the same time it takes the older posters to hunt and peck out "WSS".
