Hahaha. My source is the covid information for the state of New Jersey. It's hilarious you refuse to click and read who is eligible and who is not. You are clearly lying and you were called out. Love to see it.
And only men over 50 use the words "it's not becoming" when referring to (and only to) a female. It's sexist, antiquated and lame. You would never tell a man that and I won't be entertaining that. Ever.
Oh, and it's "couldn't care less". Saying you could care less means you could, in fact, care less.

Available and able are two different things. The vaccine distribution is the new Wild West. NY keeps opening up the eligibility to new groups long before they have finished with one group. This bottle necks the system even further. The elderly, without online access or tech savvy are completely left in the dust. No one is looking out for them. I have many friends in the medical profession who still have not had access to the vaccine.
Just this week our County Executive said it could be next spring before everyone is vaccinated based on current influx of supply and the disastrous and flawed rollout. Late summer/early fall was his hope.
Even if there are copious amounts of vaccine, it still needs to be administered in a systematic and effective way.

I really truly hope the projection of late summer for herd immunity is accurate, that would be amazing!
That being said, I do think if the early rollout is any indication just because anyone can get one in terms of eligibility sadly does not mean there will be enough available right away. We already have way more eligible than doses available but I am hopeful that will continue to improve. I got my second dose (Moderna) this week!

the Biden administration has secured an additional 200 million doses of the vaccine, bringing the total up to 300 million. And that’s not counting Johnson and Johnson’s vaccine, which the FDA will be meeting about in 2 weeks, and could be available some time in March

People are buying everything, being rude, not social distancing, it's exhausting. I still can't get vaccinated because I have no preexisting conditions & am in a younger group. But again, I get to deal with all the crazy people who can't understand why we don't always have certain merchandise or that it might be delayed because there is a pandemic. It feels like a small slap in the face.

I guess being told how important my job is and all the praise people were giving us a year ago, but now feeling like that was a lie with having to wait on the vaccine. Maybe I'm being paranoid, and hope I end up being wrong. But, it was upsetting to see covid deniers like Marco Rubio and Mike Pence get one.

You're kidding right? All of Congress got the vaccine because they are essential government employees.
Im so sorry you have to deal with that Marianne, people who don't do the work, refused to wear masks, and called it a hoax (half of Congress) should have been at the end of the line. I hope you can get inoculated come Spring.

The 200 million doses are to be delivered by end of July, bringing the total to 600 million does (enough for 300 million people). I am guessing that's where Fauci's end of summer herd immunity prediction came from, and that's a major step up. The remaining challenge is to get it all in arms promptly. New York is ready to do that as are many other states, but some haven't gotten their act together. Fingers crossed.
