I forget when I first went, but it was never interesting in the times I went.

You can basically use any major hotel's public restroom. No one will stop you.... I am very particular with public restrooms, so usually hotels are the best option when in the city.
There is a website that also lists restrooms that anyone can go into. I wish I remembered what it is called. I never cared for the restroom in the visitor center. It is so cramped & I think there were only 2 stalls.

Starbucks' bathrooms are free and open to the public, and I assume as are McDonalds'.
PalJoey, does the retail expansion (I can't remember what is going in there) include the visitors' center space? I know the second floor area where the old audition center and members' lounge is (hence whatever company it is that's moving in there footing the cost for the new spaces that opened on the 16th floor last year).
This is a fascinating article (with photos) of the interior. If you're not familiar with this site, Scouting New York, it's wonderful for those with an interest in New York history and architecture:
Hotel bathrooms are the best. People tend to have anal exorcisms in Starbucks bathrooms so I avoid those.

It is hard to believe that the same guy who designed this little theater also designed the picture palaces like the Rivoli, Mark Strand, and the Hellinger. He also did the remodeling of the being demolished as we speak DeMille a/k/a Mayfair
One time Gothamist had an article about hidden gem restrooms in New York and I was so mad that they shared one of my go-tos because now everyone else is going to use it.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

A New York company has started marketing what amounts to an upscale pay toilet service. Posh Stow and Go will offer visitors to the Big Apple “clean, safe and soundproof” bathrooms worthy of “the greatest city in the world,” in addition to such other amenities as “luxury showers” and private storage rooms.
Prices for the Midtown facility, which is set to open around June (update: delayed until fall), start at $24 for a three-day pass (or $8 a day), plus a mandatory $15 annual membership fee. The company envisions opening other locations throughout the city—lower Manhattan is next on the list—but warns that “only a limited number of memberships will be sold so as to provide the best possible experience.” NYC pay toilet charges $8 a day
"Where are the rest rooms in Toys R Us and M&M world?"
I love how this entire thread has turned into trying to find you a free place to pee that would meet with your requirements cause apparently walking across the street to the Marriott is just entirely too much of an ordeal for you. Are you really asking people here to give you directions from the front door of M&M World to their bathroom because you would absolutely be unable to figure that out once you got there?
