There are only scattered singles - not that many, showing up for Saturday night.  Really, really looking forward to seeing the show.   A few thinking it would show up on Goldstar.  I don't believe it ever did.

The show sold out in its 6-show engagement at London's O2 Arena ( as reported by Blllboard) and all  its 3 shows at Madison Square Garden ( as reported by MSG itself). Hopefully, it will do very well at the Hollywood Bowl, too.  It is in essence really a theatre show ( with the musical numbers working well with the Hugh narratives). Very entertaining show...  featuring music and dance numbers from both performing art branches! And some from pop culture, too!

In the MSG shows, our special guests were composers Pasek and Paul , who wrote the scores of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN and DEAR EVAN HANSEN ( "You Will Be Found" was one of Hugh's song-narrative numbers). It was a special treat to see Justin Paul on the piano for "A Million Dreams" as well as accompanying Keala for "This Is Me" while Benj Pasek was singing along in the background for the second song. Those four ( Hugh, Justin, Benj and Keala) were the best melding of Hollywood and Broadway.

There are hundreds of premium seats available in the front boxes HUNDREDS.  Every specious ticketing agency has huge numbers of tickets for sale at bumped up prices.  So, unless those sell in the next day, they're going to panic and the prices will start coming down and keep going down.

Oh absolutely, bk.  Ticket agencies always buy up tickets and turn around and sell them at inflated prices.  The closer the day comes for the shows that they have, they always lower their prices.  That's been the norm for decades now.

Really looking forward to seeing this version of the show.  Saw his show in San Francisco a number of years ago before it took it to Broadway, where I saw it.  And, again in LA for a 1 time performance at The Dolby Theatre.

Well he sold out the Capitol One Arena in DC, which has a capacity of 20,356 seats, which is more than the Hollywood Bowl's 17,500.  And I would anticipate he would be more popular in Hollywood in DC.  I have to say the show was excellent.  Better than I even anticipated.

Dame, as of right now there are scattered singles on Saturday night.  For Friday night the 2nd to the last section from the top still has about 50% available, in that section.  What night are you going?

I have just returned home from seeing Hugh Jackman here in San Diego.......and I am still on something of a high from this marvelous evening.  What can I say?

Well.  He sang.  He danced.  He played piano.  He told stories.  He stepped aside to let the other singers and dancers and musicans shine.  He came off the stage to interact with audience members.  He captivated those of us lucky enough to be in the PACKED arena.  My favorite bits?  First, a medley of songs from movie musicals.  Second, what I believe was a "Dream Song" performed by four Indigenous Australians.

SEE  ....  THIS  ....  SHOW    !!

Would love to go on Friday night.  Originally I was going to see him tonight in San Jose, bought the ticket - but wasn't able to make it work out at the office - even though I got the time off approved back in December.  Ugh............long story.  But, I sold the ticket on Ticketsnow and everything turned out fine.

I don't think there's an opening act.

About 30 minutes before the show began last night, a young woman came out on stage and sang three songs.  Her name was projected on the back screen, but I don't remember what it was.  She was very good, and the audience liked her.  I had trouble hearing what she said, but I believe Hugh met her in London and invited her to join the team.  She also performed with the other singers during the evening.

Following her, there was a DJ who played recorded music.

Apparently, Hugh has local vocal groups join the show in each city.  The Lesbian-identified "San Diego Women's Chorus" joined in for two numbers.

But was this before or after the scheduled start time?

The scheduled start time was 7:00 p.m.  But, the show didn't start until maybe 7:15 p.m. (because, I think, audience members were still streaming in).  The English singer starting singing around 6:30 p.m.  She finished perhaps by 6:45 p.m., and then the DJ started doing his stuff until the show began at 7:15 p.m.   I don't know if the singer qualifies as an opening act.  Also, there was a 20-minute intermission.....20 minutes exactly (there was a clock projected onto the back screen).  I really don't remember what time the show ended....somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00.

Was just on the HB site, and great garden box seats are popping up now for both nights.  Subscribers have the option to return their tickets if they can't make it or change their mind in attending.  I'm taking my mom tomorrow night for her 80th birthday.  We have a fantastic garden box seat, right down front and already ordered our dinner in our box.  Going to be a fun time!
