Did anyone see this? I saw the one episode so far. I don't know if they aired more than one. Anyway, Tabatha was portrayed as a combo of Dr. Phil, Frederic Fekkai and HGTV all in one. And there was drama, lots of it.
I enjoyed it. Tabatha is bad ass. It's cool how an outside person can go in and point out all the things that need to be changed. She obviously knows her ****.
I didn't care for the business owners in the first episode though. The wife was particularly annoying.
This is the same premise as Gordan Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, and actually is very similar. A nasty reality tv star gets to show a more nurturing side.
I would expect every owner/manager to be as obnoxious as the owners in the first eppie. It amazes me that in these shows, and the nanny shows, how people ask desperately for help and then refuse to believe the expert about how to fix things.
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
Love her and love the show. I saw a clip of the next episode. While she is chewing out the salon owner, he interrupts her with an insult, and then she just stops, lets him finish, and then continues on without flinching. I loooooove that! Also agree that Kwanna, the owner in the first episode, was incredibly annoying and that her salon makeover was beautiful!
"How horrifying! I thought he was going to hug me!"

I love Tabatha and think it has the potential to be a very good show. The first episode was, by and large, a non-starter because the owners and staff seemed very receptive to Tabatha's comments and plan for the salon. Tonight's episode looks like it might be a bloodbath, which always makes for great television.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
-John Guare, Landscape of the Body
She's hysterical, but not on purpose, which makes it even better!
I want to see her like slap this dude tonight.

The guy in ep 2 DID need to be slapped HARD by everyone working at that salon! Never in a million years did I ever think I would like this show but Tab is so bitchy it's great. Did anyone else think the owner and Steven(the nail guy who walked out)made the most bizarre couple ever?( I know they are not together anymore)I love how Steven lied to Tabitha about calling her a bitchy blond... It's on tape A-hole!
I know, that guy was horrible! I kinda wish that Tabatha was harder on him. He was a complete tool. He obviously wasn't turned around. She should have suggested that he sell his business.
As for his ex, I think they deserve each other. He was accusing other stylists of being liars and gossipers, but he seemed like the worst one. Idiot.
I really wish there was a bigger change in the operation of the salon. Updated On: 8/30/08 at 02:50 AM
I LOVED her on Shear Genius...and I LOVE her in her new show. She is not afraid to come out and say exactly what she is feeling, even at the risk of hurting the stylistsowners feelings. It's hilarious!
Doodle, I also thought of Kitchen Nightmares when I watched this. I enjoy both equally. Although Gordon wins out whenever he takes his shirt off... yum.
I love Tabatha. SO many people did not like her on SG. I think what makes her great on this show is how dedicated she is to cutting hair and making any salon the best it can be. She is so great though....

Did any of you guys watch tonight's episode? It was the best episode so far. The salon really turned around, and the owner was such a douche bag - perfect for this show.
Every bit of the show was the New Jersey Italian stereotype, and I loved every minute of it! We have a satellite office in Sewell so I'll have to do a drive by.
You're right, SOMMS. I was saying that to my boyfriend last night. It was so "Jersey" it was pathetic. The owner was such a tool. I liked how he kept calling his mommy to whine and complain about Tabatha.

I love this show! I missed the first episode, but caught the last two. That house was a Gotti nightmare. I guess you have to be from Jersey (or Donald Trump) to appreciate it. In the end, I kinda liked the guy, though. The guy from the episode before, Michael, was a lying irresponsible piece of crap. I hope he loses the place and his staff take over and make millions. Except the moron manicurist. They are made for each other.
