Legally Blonde's score is very demanding for a singer. What advice do you have for young singers in order to keep their voice active and healthy. And what have you done personally to better your vocal stamina. -Jake
First of all, Congratulations! I saw you once one of your first times on as Elle and then again a month or so later - and you improved so much in just that time. I was very happy when I heard you were Elle on tour and I know you'll be amazing. My question is: What will you miss most about the Broadway company and what are you looking most forward to about the tour?
Becky, I am 15 years old and come from a family who does not support my talent for acting. What do you suggest I do on my own to start my career professionally? What would be a good age to start a pro career in acting?
Hi Becky! Coming from Minnesota(I'm from North Dakota), was it hard to adjust to the hectic city-life of a performer in NYC? Do you have any advice for someone also from the mid-west on how to survive in NYC? -Maggie Updated On: 6/19/08 at 06:42 PM
Do you ever read the boards and do a SEARCH on your name? Seems your performance is mixed among the many.
Here's hoping the US feels more favorable as YOU'RE going to be the Elle most people will be seeing 'live' as opposed to Laura Bell's whose Elle was seen by millions on MTV.
Hope you have a tough skin if you haven't read the 'Becky' threads yet.
Hi Becky! What advice can you give for young teenage singers who want to be on Broadway one day? What was your reaction when you landed the role of Elle in the 1st national tour of "Legally Blonde: The Musical"? -Lindsay
hey becky! congrats! Question- Are you scared to be doing the show full time? and what is going to be the hardest thing about playing elle full time instead of just at certain performances?
Becky, first of all, congratulations! While Legally Blonde is a fun show, it also claims to have a message about seeing beyond a stereotype. How important was it to you that Legally Blonde had a message beyond entertainment value? Also, many people are upset by the fact that Legally Blonde still relies on some gay and blonde stereotypes for humor; and they believe that humor takes away from the show's overall message. What would you say to those people? Have fun on tour!
Hi Becky, ignore Brodyfosse's post. You're "reviews" on this board have been very favorable and I'm pretty sure no one in the "US" gives a hoot what posters on BWW have to say about you. Good luck with the tour.
I love when the understudy finally gets a big break like this! I often wonder How hard is it to play the role with very short time to rehearse? How do you do it?
I was at your first performance as Elle Woods on Broadway, and you were amazing! I am curious to know how you felt during that performance? Nervous, excited?
Congratulations on the tour, i love you in legally blonde you are such a great elle! who are going to miss most in the broadway company? And what is your favourite broadway show at the moment apart from legally blonde? Is it hard work being an understudy?
i saw you in legally blonde three times you were great but not as elle, i am real sorry. hopefully i will get to see you on tour since i live real close to long island. i have three questions for you. 1) how you feeling leaving the show with a close friend gaelean?, because its the first time for legally blonde that two orginal castmates are leaving the same day. 2)what is your feeling about having your own dressing room ontour since now you share it with a bunch of fun girls? 3) is there anyone from the broadway cast already going on tour with you?
i wish you the best on tour since you wont be full time elle woods on broadway which is a shame.
I'm really excited to get to see Legally Blonde live when it comes to NC next April! My question is, what's your opinion on the current Legally Blonde reality show going on right now?
Hi Becky! This is Sam in Baltimore! I can not wait until you come here in September. What is your favorite song and scene in the show!? What is the most difficult costume change you go through?
Hi Becky I am writing from São Paulo, Brazil to say I love legally blonde since Reese Witherspoon. I knew about Broadway by the chance. And one day I want very much watch live the musical. And Elle teaches us the importance of beliving in you dreams. Thanks! Sucess! And I wish All your dreams came true! You are a elle of show.
Guilherme
Hello Becky
I can not wait to see you as Elle at the Bushnell in Hartford in December. Anyway, my question how did you feel when you found all your hardwork being the understudy paid off and you would Elle on the tour?
Sarah
Legally Blonde is such an amazing show and I can't imagine doing it 8 times a week! What's the biggest thing that has ever gone wrong during a performance and what did you guys do to fix it? -Kim
Hi Becky - I know you and Bruiser must spend a lot of time together. Is it always the same dog? Who trains it? Do you have any funny Bruiser stories?
Terry
Hey Becky, first of all congratulations on landing Elle Woods on tour! What was your initial reaction when you found out you'd be understudying Annaleigh Ashford, Leslie Kritzer, and the LEAD of the show, Laura Bell Bundy? Were you scared or intimidated? And did your acting and singing choices come from you, the movies, or did you come up with them all on your own? Thanks so much! Andrew
Hey Becky, When did you start your acting career and where did you find Legally Blonde? Also why do you think you were casted as Elle woods? You have a great future keep on doing what you do best!
xoxo Sam
Hi Becky! My name is Sarah and I'm 17. I am an aspiring actress. It has always been a dream of mine to perform onstage. What was your journey like making it into Broadway?
Sarah
Dear Becky, What city are you most looking forward to seeing and why? Love, a fellow Becky.
Hey Becky! You're amazing! Is there anything you are going to change about your characterization
of Elle for this first National Tour of Legally Blonde, the Musical? Anything thing or quality in Elle that you'd like to focus on more as you are making the role your own? Break-a-leg! Brava!

This is sort of a two part question.
1) In your experience as an understudy for a lead role such as Elle, how much freedom did you have in creating your own interpretation of the character v.s. having to adhere to the basic "blue print" of the character as played by the actress you were covering, Laura Bell Bundy
AND
2) Will you have more freedom to take more personal liberties with the role on tour now that you'll be the principle performer and not the understudy? If so, do you see yourself taking the character in a direction that varies at all from the great job you've done playing Elle on the New York Stage?
All the best,
Nick
Is it hard to leave NYC and travel across the country for a year?
Hi there! It was an absolute dream come true to find out I was going to play Elle on the tour. I had been hoping for this opportunity since I originally started working on the project 2 years ago!! I don't know of any plans to come back to Broadway as Elle, but I guess you never know what the future will bring. I am very excited to spend a year taking this show to people everywhere. I know they will love it!
