What’s the buzz?   A true global phenomenon, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 50 years!  A timeless work, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, the show is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally known series of events. Seen through the eyes of Judas Iscariot, Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire.

The iconic 1970s rock score contains such well-known numbers as “Superstar,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” and “Gethsemane".

Directed by Liz Boyer Hunnicutt alongside Musical Director and Conductor Charlotte Evans Crowley and Choreographer Rachel Miller, with Artistic Direction by Diane Trowbridge Smith.

Join us for our Young Adult Series production this spring as some of Baltimore's brightest young performers bring this remarkable story to life on the CPM stage.
