Footloose is a musical about youth, freedom, and the power of music, in which a rebellious teenager moves to a small town where dancing is banned and challenges the community to rediscover joy, connection, and self-expression. The show features electrifying dance numbers and iconic 80s hits, with a stage adaptation by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, music by Tom Snow, and lyrics by Dean Pitchford. The production is directed by Jake Stuart, with Charlotte Evans as musical director and Lauren Stuart as choreographer. Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre presents the show in residence at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd., Baltimore County, Maryland.
