Blood of the Lamb is a regional premiere stage play by Arlene Hutton, directed by Jalice Ortiz-Corral, featuring Sharon Carter Brown and Rakell Foye. The play follows Nessa, a pregnant woman detained in a Texas airport alongside Val, a court-appointed attorney assigned to represent her fetus. With new laws preventing Nessa from leaving the state until she gives birth, despite the baby being deceased and her life at risk, the story explores whether Val will risk her career to help Nessa escape. The play was nominated for the 2025 Drama Desk Award and The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.
