Baltimore Story Fest 2026 - Day 1: Finding the Story at The Philip Arnoult Stage, Theatre Project

Baltimore Story Fest 2026, curated and directed by Phill Branch, returns for its third year at The Philip Arnoult Stage, Theatre Project, expanding this year to include a three-day writing and storytelling intensive running May 1–3. The festival spotlights personal narrative as a means of building connection and bringing lived experience to the stage. Day 1, Finding the Story, opens on May 1 and guides participants through mining memory for meaningful material, developing voice and authenticity, and identifying the emotional core of their stories. Branch, a Moth GrandSLAM Champion, regional Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, and Lambda Literary Emerging Voices Fellow, grounds the intensive in the same approach that informs his debut memoir, The Double Dutch Fuss.
