Baltimore Story Fest 2026, curated and directed by Phill Branch, returns to The Philip Arnoult Stage for its third year with a three-day writing and storytelling intensive running May 1–3. Day 2, Shaping the Work, focuses on transforming raw material into intentional narrative, with exploration of structure in memoir and personal essays, scene-building, tension, pacing, and revision as a creative practice. Branch is a GrandSLAM Champion of The Moth, a regional Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, and author of the debut memoir The Double Dutch Fuss, which received a starred review from Library Journal. The intensive is grounded in his approach to helping participants move from memory to manuscript to performance.
