Pioneer Theatre Company brings the Broadway hit BEAUTIFUL back to Utah with a new professional production that re-introduces the wonderful feel-everything musical.

Not just movie screenings, the Sundance Film Festival also features many opportunities to interact with and hear from filmmakers and celebrities. One space that received raves from its invitation-only visitors was The Elvis Suite at Park City’s Firewood, featuring film critic Elvis Mitchell holding intimate conversations with on- and off-screen luminaries.

The national tour of PETER PAN, currently playing at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City, is a refreshingly refreshed iteration of a beloved musical that can sometimes feel a bit stodgy in its original form.  Set in modern America with a male teenager playing the title role and more agency for the Indigenous characters, the show has been revitalized for a new generation.

Pioneer Theatre Company’s Utah premiere of PRAYER FOR THE FRENCH REPUBLIC brings a contemplative new play that only recently closed on Broadway to local audiences, invoking meditation on the past and prayer for the future.

It is rare for a show to be developed in Utah and receive further life on a major stage. Now, joining the ranks of Pioneer Theatre Company’s SHUCKED are two Utah County theatre premieres with similar themes receiving professional debuts in London: Creekside Theatre Fest’s RELATIVE SPACE: AN ATYPICAL MUSICAL and Utah Valley University Noorda Center’s FLY MORE THAN YOU FALL.

The national tour of FUNNY GIRL, currently playing at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City, is a gorgeous rendition of a timeless classic that runs the gamut of emotion from self-deprecating comedy to heart-wrenching drama to chill-inducing performance.
