Tony Award nominee and 'American Idol' finalist Constantine Maroulis returned to Rock of Ages as Drew last week and BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture his epic return. Maroulis will appear for a limited 12-week engagement through October 26, 2014. The five-time Tony Award nominated musical Rock of Ages - which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary on Broadway, and its spot in the Top 30 Longest-Running Broadway Shows in History - continues to party eight times a week at the Helen Hayes Theatre, 240 West 44th Street. Second Stage Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Laura Eason's play, SEX WITH STRANGERS, which opened last week, will now play through Sunday, August 31st. The production stars Emmy Award Winner Anna Gunnand Tony Award Nominee Billy Magnussen and is directed by David Schwimmer. It's time for the newest episode of BWW's exclusive TV series - CHEWING THE SCENERY WITH Randy Rainbow! This week, Randy lip syncs Patti LuPone's autobiography... again. Her reflections on this occasion feature the drama involved with her, Glenn Close, and the casting of Sunset Boulevard.

In an evening, conceived and directed by Tony Award winner Scott Wittman, LuPone will perform an eclectic collection of torch songs by songwriters including Arthur Schwartz, Howard Dietz, Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn,Billy Barnes, Harold Arlen, George and Ira Gershwin, and Cole Porter. Don Heckman of The Los Angeles Times described the show as 'a beautifully paced, marvelously delivered torch-song exploration of the pleasures and pains of love; LuPone's remarkable, larger-than-life qualities and stunning musicality are distilled into the pure essence of her art.' On June 26, Shia LaBeouf was escorted out of Rounabout Theatre's revival of Cabaret in handcuffs for smoking inside the theater and engaging in other disruptive behavior. In this edition, Randy created a hilarious Cabaret parody video of the events and gives him a piece of his mind. When LaBeouf was asked to leave, he refused and then threatened the officers and people on the sidewalk outside. If anyone can tell LaBeouf how it is, Randy Rainbow can.

Heathers: The Musical, the new smash-hit musical stage adaptation of Daniel Waters' iconic 1989 dark comedy film, just celebrated the release of its World Premiere Cast Recording on Yellow Sound Label- available now for digital download on iTunes, and in stores .
