What's more exciting than the Tony Awards? Your wedding day, perhaps? The birth of your first child, you say? WRONG! The answer is, in fact, nothing. The Tonys are the most exciting thing ever to happen in life, and they are just weeks away! So, to celebrate Tonys season and to help get you pumped for the big day, I've comprised an official list of the Greatest Tony Awards Moments Ever, according to me (and therefore according to you, too.)

Earlier this month, The New York Pops marked its 32nd birthday with a grand gala evening celebrating the work of Music Honorees Kathleen Marshall and Rob Marshall and Corporate Honoree Carrie and Ted Pryor, Greenwich Harbor Partners. The event began with a concert at Carnegie Hall, featuring a spectacular lineup of guest artists under the baton of Music Director Steven Reineke. The performance highlighted the Marshalls' work on stage and screen. Queen Latifahjoined Broadway stars Laura Benanti, Alan Cumming, Sutton Foster, Victor Garber, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bebe Neuwirth, Kelli O'Hara, Margo Seibert, James Snyder, and Rachel York. On June 7th, Broadway veterans Deborah Cox (Aida, Jekyll & Hyde) and Justin Guarini (Wicked, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) will host the seventh annual simulcast of the Tony Awards (presented by Clear Channel Spectacolor), live from Times Square. The free event, which is open to the public, will feature special guest appearances and live performances. BroadwayWorld recently caught up with the stars on the famed red steps of Duffy Square to chat with them about the big night!

The five-time Tony Award-nominated Rock of Ages played its final performance last night, January 18, 2015 after 22 preview and 2,328 Broadway performances, solidifying its spot as the 27th longest running show in Broadway history. The current company was joined by past cast members onstage for the epic, final curtain call, and BroadwayWorld was there for the special celebration. Just last week, the New York Pops continued its 32nd season in a series at Carnegie Hall celebrating the diversity of some of popular music's greatest icons. Music Director Steven Reineke led the orchestra in a festive holiday concert featuring Broadway's own Kelli O'Hara and Matthew Morrison, as they reunited with a program of seasonal classics and contemporary holiday songs in 'Kelli and Matthew: Home for the Holidays.'.
