On September 9th, the team from Broadwayworld attended Teater Keliling’s Mencari Guru Bangsa, an experimental theater in celebration of Rudolf Puspa's 78th birthday, staged at Bentara Budaya Jakarta.

On 4–7 September 2025, EKI Dance Company returned to the stage with Perempuan Punya Cerita, performed at Gelora Bakti Budaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki.

On July 26 to 27th of 2025, Hi Jakarta Production in collaboration with Ciputra Artpreneur hosted their re-run of School of Rock the Musical. This would be their second time hosting this show after last year’s performance. The show is based on the 2003 movie starring Jack Black.

On May 31 and June 1, 2025, Teater Katak returned to the stage with The Maestro: Chocolate Dreams, performed at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta. The production featured a double cast for the supporting roles, with two different pairs rotating, while the lead roles remained consistent. This show was produced by Afiq Walid and directed by Danan W. P. The team from Broadway World Indonesia had the opportunity to watch their first show on June 1st, and here’s our review.

In commemoration of International Mother’s Day, Jakarta Art House hosted its third yearly musical with Mamma Mia! The Musical Re-Run. Performed at Graha Bhakti Budaya, this show ran for two weeks from May 21st to June 1st in the year 2025, performing a total of 14 shows. For this re-run, they delivered a double cast for the pair of mother and daughter, facing three possible dads.

It unfolds various stories, starting from lighthearted scenes of girlhood into complex adult realities: the societal pressure to marry, body shaming, workplace sexism, and the quiet pain masked by everyday smiles.

On May 1-3, the performing arts community Cerita Beda Hak Sama (CBHS) staged their latest dance musical at Graha Bhakti Budaya. Tariakan: Gerakan Suara Persatuan is the second entry in the series, following the first installment in 2023 simply called Tariakan.

The musical Perkawinan by Indonesian Musical Company’s Winter Class was staged on 22 March 2025 at Gedung Kesenian Miss Tjitjih, Jakarta. What did our critic think of SISTER ACT at Center Stage Community? On March 14 and 15, Center Stage Community (Censtacom) staged their latest production, Sister Act, at Graha Bhakti Budaya in Jakarta.

On February 22 and 23, the Japanese theater group Shindora returned to the stage with their latest musical, Kaneko Mama and the Jolly Folks at Teater Kecil, Taman Ismail Marzuki. This original musical is set in Japan at the end of the Showa era (late 1980s), bringing with it a unique retro charm and themes of family and community.

The musical community Jaksical held their latest production, Kapan Nikah? (“When Are You Getting Married?”) on February 21-23 2025 at Teater Salihara. This is the second installment in the ‘Kapan?’ series, which started with Kapan Resign? (“When Are You Resigning?”) in 2023.
