'The Sopranos' star James Gandolfini is in negotiations to join Steve Carell and Jim Carrey in the New Line comedy 'Burt Wonderstone,' according to reports from Variety.

Dumpster Tequila in conjunction with The Player's Theatre, are bringing their hit show The Improvised Musical to the heart of Greenwich Village at The Player's Theater Loft. On November 19, 2011 get ready for a jam-packed show filled with some of the best musical talent that New York City has to offer.

While relaxing in the deckchairs on a seaside promenade, a combination of joyous moments, spicy secrets, and family turmoil are revealed. Veteran actresses Nonie White, Ginger King, Shawn Hemond, Mary Kay Cyrus, and Corinne Broskette portray 10 very different characters in five true-to-life vignettes. The production is directed by Owen Robertson.

Billboard reports that actress Rita Wilson has announced she's becoming a singer and will release her first album this February.

The Douglas Morrisson Theatre in Hayward will once again present the all-time favorite Rodgers and Hart musical The King and I. The show, which opened the Morrisson in 1979 when it was named The Little Theatre, has been one of the most requested shows by audiences over the years, and was most recently mounted at the Morrisson in 1994. The upcoming production, directed by Sue Ellen Nelsen and starring T.K. Armstrong as The King and Anna Cook as Anna, will open on November 11 and run through December 4.

Antaeus, L.A.'s multiple award-winning classical theater company, presents the U.S. premiere of Noël Coward's rarely produced anti-war drama, Peace In Our Time. Casey Stangl directs the fully double-cast production of a new adaptation, with music, by Barry Creyton. Unbound Productions Co-Artistic Directors Jonathan Josephson, Paul Millet, and Jeff G. Rack have announced two waves of expansion to their popular horror story adaptation series WICKED LIT. On Thursday, October 20, The American School of Yaoundé in Cameroon, presented Josephson's adaptation of Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. In addition, WICKED LIT's free staged reading series will expand from Los Angeles- based events and schools to two locations in San Diego: Lestat's (October 23 and 27 at 6:30pm) and The Egyptian Tea Room (October 26 at 8:00pm).
