Top Dog Theatre presents HAVING A BALL by Alan Bleasdale, at The Dome, North Hagley Park Events Village from 10th to 17th October. Show starts at 6:30pm every night and runs around 1 hour 45 minutes.

"Having a Ball" is an outrageously funny adult comedy and an award-winning play set in the north-west of England.

Three men anxiously wait their turn for a vasectomy operation in a private clinic where nose-jobs and face-lifts are the stock-in-trade but, even before their operations begin, hilarious complications set in. None more so when each of them discovers that the surgeon is a woman. Throw in a cynical nurse and a wife who drinks and knows too much and you have a riotous, knock-out comedy!

Whilst Bleasdale is well known for his television work, The Boys from the Blackstuff (1982), and GBH (1991), Having A Ball won a number of awards whilst on a national tour.

Director Derek Doddington describes the piece as an hilariously funny and honest look at the different lives of people thrown together in this extremely intimate situation.

Destined for a sell-out run this is a must-see show, where bookings are essential.
