The musical JERRY'S GIRLS by Jerry Herman opens at the Manatee Players on October 27 and plays through November 13. Performances are Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 including facility fee for adults and $11 including facility fee for students. Tickets may be reserved by calling 748-5875 Monday - Friday from 9-5 and one hour before curtain on performance days or on the Manatee Players' website: www.manateeplayers.com. All performances are at 102 Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton.

Antaeus, L.A.'s multiple award-winning classical theater company, presents the U.S. premiere of Noël Coward's rarely produced anti-war drama, Peace In Our Time. Casey Stangl directs the fully double-cast production of a new adaptation, with music, by Barry Creyton. Gala openings took place on October 20, 21, 22 and 23, with performances continuing through December 11 at The Antaeus Company‘s interim North Hollywood home at Deaf West Theatre. Goodspeed Musicals delves into the sultry and shadowy world of 1940s film noir with their clever production of CITY OF ANGELS. Promising lots of laughs and plenty of jazzy tunes, this witty musical comedy will run fthrough November 27 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. Unbound Productions Co-Artistic Directors Jonathan Josephson, Paul Millet, and Jeff G. Rack have announced two waves of expansion to their popular horror story adaptation series WICKED LIT. On Thursday, October 20, The American School of Yaoundé in Cameroon, presented Josephson's adaptation of Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. In addition, WICKED LIT's free staged reading series will expand from Los Angeles- based events and schools to two locations in San Diego: Lestat's (October 23 and 27 at 6:30pm) and The Egyptian Tea Room (October 26 at 8:00pm).

Work has begun on designing the costumes for a new revival of the 1994 Madison Square Garden A CHRISTMAS CAROL THE MUSICAL revised and directed by Alan Souza for the Arkansas Repertory Theatre Dec 1-25, 2011. the creative team includes Rafael Castanera (Production Manager), Robert Hupp (Producing Artistic Director), Michael Bottari and Ronald Case (Costume Design), Olivia Koach (Costume Shop Manager), Mike Nichols (Set Designer) and Marcos Santana (Choreography).

Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of 'Bring It On: The Musical' took part in a celebration kicking off the ation tour of the musical on October 22, 2011. Also there were cheer squads from Narbonne High School (Harbor City), Mira Mesa High School (San Diego), Hart High School (Santa Clarita) and Santa Monica High School (Santa Monica); dance squads from St. Genevieve High School (Panorama City) and Los Alamitos High School (Los Alamitos); Glendale Community College's cheer squad, UCA cheer and dance instructors and a pep band. Guest hosts included KIIS FM's JoJo, Telemundo's Jorge Bernal and Hannah of 'The Glee Project.'

The DIY Trunk Show, featuring 129 area artists, presented by the Chicago Craft Mafia, is one of the longest-running indie, craft shows in Chicago, now in its ninth year. Admission is FREE. The DIY Trunk Show will partner with Wishcraft to provide a kids crafting area, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for ages 4 and up. Complete artist list below.
