Sex Education is about Otis Milburn, a socially awkward high school student who lives with his sex therapist mother, Jean. In season 1 Otis and his friend Maeve Wiley set-up a sex clinic at school to capitalise on his intuitive talent for sex advice. In season 2, as a late bloomer Otis must master his newly discovered sexual urges in order to progress with his girlfriend Ola whilst also dealing with his now strained relationship with Maeve. Meanwhile, Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a chlamydia outbreak, highlighting the need for better sex education at the school and new kids come to town who will challenge the status quo.

Sightless Pit brings together three of the most ambitious and prolific minds in heavy music today. The trio, comprised of Lee Buford of The Body, Kristin Hayter of Lingua Ignota and Dylan Walker of Full of Hell, have announced the release of their debut album Grave of a Dog, due out February 21st. First single 'Kingscorpse' perfectly captures both the breadth and clarity of the trio's vision, twisting through operatic vocals, pummelling jackhammer rhythms and vaporous electronics.

Today the band have revealed 'ready or not' the latest single to be lifted from the forthcoming EP. The track premiered today at Atwood Magazine and will be available on all digital streaming services this Friday. About the song Atwood Magazine says ''ready or not' is the kind of song that grows and grows, reaching its apex not once a minute through the chorus, but at the very end through some  melodic resolution that ties the whole four-minute experience together in a tight, cathartic knot. In this instance, such relief comes from the increasingly hot repetition, “ready or not, here we come” – a mantra capturing not only the heat of the moment, but also the ambitions of a band on the rise.' Singer Michael Wilson explains, “It's hard for me not to love the lyrics and poetic nature of this song. I wrote 'ready or not' for my then girlfriend (now wife). Our first few dates ended with us driving the canyons in the Santa Monica Mountains. There was just something so simple and pure about hitting the road with someone and having this shared anticipation, tension even, and then that being met with fading city lights, a dark open road, and just heading for an unknown horizon — it was thrilling and unexpected.”

Joel Vandroogenbroeck was a musical pioneer in every sense of the phrase. His classical and jazz training combined with his passion for computers and electronic synthesizers united the digital and analog worlds, creating some of the most forward-thinking music of the 1970s. Born in Brussels, Vandroogenbroeck earned numerous accolades as a young pianist and was touring Europe by the time he was a teenager. But as the musical and cultural explosion brought on by the '60s spread throughout the world, Vandroogenbroeck found himself drifting further outside of the mainstream to a place of exploration and experimentation in psychedelic music inspired by bands such as Tangerine Dream and Amon Duul II. He formed his own band, Brainticket, and released the highly regarded debut album Cottonwoodhill in 1971. Psychonaut followed the next year and the epic Celestial Ocean capped things off in 1973. These early albums along with the later period Brainticket recordings constitute some of the finest electronic psych music ever laid down.

In celebration of the music festival's 20th anniversary, YouTube Originals today announced it is partnering with Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival for a feature-length documentary “Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert” set to premiere March 31. The announcement comes on the heels of Coachella's official 2020 lineup and with news that YouTube is back as the exclusive live stream partner for both weekends of the festival.

American rock & roll mainstay Beach Slang will release their most accomplished album to date The Deadbeat Bang of Heartbreak City this Friday, January 10 on Bridge Nine Records. Featuring special guest bassist Tommy Stinson of The Replacements on the entire new collection, the band has unleashed one final new album single “Stiff” today. Dripping with seediness, the song is strapped with a snotty riff, big, razory bends, back-alley vocals and a knuckly drum hook. “Rock & roll is a church for weirdos and degenerates, the brilliant and the forgotten. It's the only place a whole lot of us have,” shares James Alex. “And we're here for it.”

City Theatre will host a screening of When My Sleeping Dragon Woke, a documentary by Chuck Schultz about Sharon Washington's play Feeding the Dragon which had its world premiere at City Theatre in the fall of 2016.
