Veteran corporate finance executive Adam Townsend will be departing Showtime Networks Inc. (SNI) at the end of the month after 12 years of combined service across Showtime Networks and CBS. Since joining SNI, Townsend has been instrumental in developing a broader financial strategy and guiding the network's growth in streaming. He has also played a key role in the integration of Showtime Networks within ViacomCBS, setting the network up for future success. He will transition the role to Michael Crotty, who has been named SNI's new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Crotty will also have oversight of BET Networks' finance team. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Showtime Networks Inc. to whom Crotty will report.

Following the recent release of their latest album, Hollow, Elephant Stone is announcing a North American tour that includes dates in the US and Canada. The band was preparing for an intense 9 show run at SXSW, but isn't letting the festival's cancellation slow their enthusiasm for sharing their work. The album is the first to be fully recorded and released from frontman Rishi Dhir's (also of MIEN) own studio which gave them the ability to explore sound in a way they were previously unable to. The 2020 Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival has announced the award winners for its eighth annual event which featured a lineup of screenings, premieres, panels, virtual reality demonstrations, and the launch of a new screenplay competition held in honor of acclaimed novelist Philip K. Dick. The festival was held from March 4-8, 2020 at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, NY and recognized nine films and three screenplays for their outstanding filmmaking and storytelling.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC today announced the final lineup of presenters who will appear on The 2020 JUNO Awards Broadcast, hosted by Alessia Cara. The eclectic list of artists and notables will be joining Anne Murray in presenting this year's performers and award winners. The 2020 JUNO Awards will be broadcast live from the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, SK on Sunday, March 15 at 8 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CST) and broadcast live on CBC, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music and the CBC Listen app. The awards will also be available for audiences outside of Canada to stream at cbcmusic.ca/junos.

Fans will have the chance to see the hip-hop superstar live in concert during the opening night of Toronto's Festival of Beer presented by The Beer Store on Friday, July 24. Nas will perform on the OLG Bandshell Stage on what is expected to be one of the biggest opening night concerts in the show's 24-year history. The festival runs from July 24 to 26 at Bandshell Park, Exhibition Place. This show is in partnership with Flow 93.5.
