In celebration of  short film and short-form content from around the globe, French Riviera Film Festival (FRFF) will present select winning and finalist shorts from its 2019 competition, online at www.frenchrivierafilmfestival.com, beginning March 27 through April 30, 2020.  Each day a new film will be uploaded throughout the online festival.

Work for NYC's musicians has come to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic as performances have been cancelled and venues have closed indefinitely. Live From Our Living Rooms Music Festival and Fundraiser will help to fill in the gap for struggling musicians by bringing the joy of music live-streamed from artists' homes in NYC to viewers anywhere in the world. Viewers will have the opportunity to donate online, raising funds to provide performance grants awarded to musicians during this crisis. 

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is announcing temporary measures to adjust the requirements for Golden Globe Awards eligibility due to the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic on motion picture and television distribution and exhibition.

The Material World Foundation, created by George Harrison in 1973, is today donating $500,000 to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, Save the Children and Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) charities, which are providing much needed aid and care during this COVID-19 pandemic. To help raise additional funds the Foundation has also launched The Inner Light Challenge. The challenge asks people around the globe to share a verse, chorus, or line from The Beatles song 'The Inner Light' and post it with the hashtag #innerlight2020. For every person that shares their own 'Inner Light' moment on social media using the #innerlight2020 hashtag, the Material World Foundation will give another $1 (up to $100,000) to help those affected by the virus.

Cicely Tyson will reprise her role as Ophelia Harkness, the mother of Annalise Keating (Viola Davis), for the final  season of ABC's How to Get Away With Murder. According to Deadline, Anne-Marie Johnson is also set to recur in the second half of the sixth and final season.

Sam Fender is very pleased to share his cover of Amy Winehouse's “Back To Black.” The track was initially recorded live on Radio 1 earlier this year as part of their “Live Lounge” series, and that very live recording now finds its release after much fan persistence on social media. Fender notes, “Back To Black is such a long-standing favourite of mine, and Amy remains a national treasure. I love that album too, I hopefully did the track some justice. You'll all be the judge of that...”

Brooklyn-based synth trio Nation of Language have released “September Again,” the latest single from their upcoming debut album Introduction, Presence. It premiered on Paste, who said, 'Rather than drawing on the atmospheric darkwave of many of today's modern synth-pop outfits, [Nation of Language] channels the soaring hi-fi pop of the '80s, and the electro-pop and dance-punk revival of the '00s.”

Bass-house producer DESTRUCTO is back with another hip-hop banger. “Bandz” featuring Yo Gotti, Kevin Gates and Denzel Curry is out today (March 26) on Parametric Records. Electronic and hip-hop worlds collide as three of the most notable talents in rap right now pop over DESTRUCTO's slow thumping production.

 Today, Quibi announced its new series '48 LAWS OF POWER' based on Robert Greene's New York Times best-selling book of the same name. Executive produced by Dreamcrew and Anonymous Content, the series will detail the nature of power and how one can secure and maintain it. Each episode of the adaptation will focus on a different law of power. Drake is also set to direct an episode.

Today, SHOWTIME announced that the late-night series DESUS & MERO will return to air with all-new episodes filmed from the hosts' own homes, starting on Monday, March 30 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. The show will continue to air new episodes on Monday and Thursday nights. Each episode will feature hosts Desus Nice (Daniel Baker) and The Kid Mero (Joel Martinez) giving their take on the day's hot topics and continuing to host interviews with special guests through video conference technology. Episodes will continue to be shot remotely from the hosts' homes in New Jersey and the Bronx until further notice.

Montreal-based indie trio Braids have announced their decision to push the release of their new album Shadow Offering to June 19th due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the meantime, however, they will continue to release new songs in the coming weeks. Today, they shared their new video for single 'Snow Angel,' a powerful opus that features singer Raphaelle Standell-Preston's most visceral performance to date as she leans passionately into her anger, diving deeper into frustrations and anxieties about her internal and external worlds.
