Work for NYC's musicians has come to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic as performances have been cancelled and venues have closed indefinitely. Live From Our Living Rooms Music Festival and Fundraiser will help to fill in the gap for struggling musicians by bringing the joy of music live-streamed from artists' homes in NYC to viewers anywhere in the world. Viewers will have the opportunity to donate online, raising funds to provide performance grants awarded to musicians during this crisis.

The Material World Foundation, created by George Harrison in 1973, is today donating $500,000 to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, Save the Children and Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) charities, which are providing much needed aid and care during this COVID-19 pandemic. To help raise additional funds the Foundation has also launched The Inner Light Challenge. The challenge asks people around the globe to share a verse, chorus, or line from The Beatles song 'The Inner Light' and post it with the hashtag #innerlight2020. For every person that shares their own 'Inner Light' moment on social media using the #innerlight2020 hashtag, the Material World Foundation will give another $1 (up to $100,000) to help those affected by the virus.

Sam Fender is very pleased to share his cover of Amy Winehouse's “Back To Black.” The track was initially recorded live on Radio 1 earlier this year as part of their “Live Lounge” series, and that very live recording now finds its release after much fan persistence on social media. Today, SHOWTIME announced that the late-night series DESUS & MERO will return to air with all-new episodes filmed from the hosts' own homes, starting on Monday, March 30 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. The show will continue to air new episodes on Monday and Thursday nights. Each episode will feature hosts Desus Nice (Daniel Baker) and The Kid Mero (Joel Martinez) giving their take on the day's hot topics and continuing to host interviews with special guests through video conference technology. Montreal-based indie trio Braids have announced their decision to push the release of their new album Shadow Offering to June 19th due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
