Off-Broadway's HIMSELF AND NORA author/composer Jonathan Brielle and star Matt Bogart surprised them with two songs from the show, which begins this May at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Last night (8 March 2016) marked the opening of the West End production of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. With music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and book by Motown founder Berry Gordy, MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright. Last month, due to public demand, a further 200,000 tickets were released for sale taking bookings at the Shaftesbury Theatre to 18 February 2017. Manhattan Concert Productions will present the 25th anniversary concert of The Secret Garden this weekend, February 21 and February 22, 2016, at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center. The concert performances of the Tony Award-winning musical will feature a stunning Broadway and television cast, creative team, the New York City Chamber Orchestra, and a grand 200-voice chorus from across the United States. Paper Mill Playhouse's world premiere of A BRONX TALE: THE MUSICAL will be co-directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by four-time Drama Desk Award nominee Sergio Trujillo. A BRONX TALE: THE MUSICAL features a book by Chazz Palminteri, music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater. L'chaim! The Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF just opened last night, December 20, at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway), wrapping up the 2015 Broadway season. BroadwayWorld's Richard Richard Ridge caught up with starry audience members Annaleigh Ashford, Bernadette Peters, Joel Grey and more as they arrived for the big night, and you can hear what they had to say about the classic musical below!

To mark the occasion of Jefferson Mays' 6,000th death in the Tony Award-winning Best Musical A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, the production held a funeral procession down West 48th Street, as cast members and fans, all dressed in mourning attire, followed Mr. Mays, lying in state inside a glass-sided horse-drawn hearse, to the Walter Kerr Theatre stage door. HAMILTON, the story of 'the ten-dollar Founding Father without a father,' is currently in previews and opens Thursday night at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.).

The cast of new musical DOCTOR ZHIVAGO, which opened on April 21st and closed on May 10th, 2015 at the Broadway Theatre, hit the recording studio this spring to prepare for the release of the show's original cast recording, out via Broadway Records today, July 31st.
