Nashville native Soccer Mommy (a.k.a. Sophie Allison) released 'lucy,' her first new song since her 2018 breakout debut album Clean, earlier this fall. Showcasing a bolder sound, more advanced production, and Allison's masterful songwriting and wordplay kicked up a notch, 'lucy' is now followed by a 7+ minute epic called 'yellow is the color of her eyes.'  ''yellow is the color of her eyes' is a song that is really important to me,' Allison explains. 'The song was inspired by a time when I was on the road constantly and I felt like I was losing time - specifically with my mother. It's also a song that I feel really showcases my writing when it comes to instrumentation, so it's one that makes me really proud.' The track, which features Mary Lattimore on harp, is out now alongside a stunning short film by Her Smell director Alex Ross Perry.

Luggage's Album 'Shift' Streaming Now on Treble Zine
Luggage's Album 'Shift' Streaming Now on Treble Zine
November 19, 2019

This Friday, Chicago-based post-punk trio Luggage will release their third full-length, Shift.  Recorded at Electrical Audio in Chicago with Matthew Barnhart (Shearwater, The New Year) as engineer, the album was recorded almost entirely live (with the exception of vocals and a few minor overdubbed embellishments). As a result, Shift bears Electrical Audio's trademark hi-fidelity perfection and organic purity. The band members' disciplined restraint and frequency-specific contributions allow the listener to hear every instrument, every nuance, and every tonal deviation. The calculated limitations on Shift not only serve to capture Luggage in their purest state, they capture the entire essence of Chicago. It's as imposing, rigid, and cold as their environment, but also thrives with life within the confines of its monolithic constructions.  Stream Shift in its entirety, ahead of its November 22 street date, now on Treble Zine.

Filmed on location throughout 2019 during their headlining European tour and their support slot with The Misfits, “No One's Victim” is the CRO-MAGS first music video since the 1992 clip “The Paths Of Perfection.” It was the bands previous video, 1987's “We Gotta Know,” that gave MTV audiences a view into the crossover world of metal, thrash and punk that defined the CRO-MAGS as a pioneer of a still boot-stomping scene that refuses to die. The proof is evidenced in the new video.
