Based on the beloved book by Newbery Medal and Caldecott Honor-winning author Matt de la Peña and illustrator Christian Robinson, Carmela Full of Wishes is a heartfelt journey filled with hope, imagination, and the magic of wishes!

It’s Carmela’s birthday, and she’s finally old enough to tag along on errands with her older brother. As they make their way through the neighborhood, she discovers a lone dandelion sprouting from the sidewalk. A simple outing becomes a whirlwind of dreams and possibilities as Carmela considers wishes like a candy machine, a fancy bed for Mamí like the ones at the hotel where she works, and most importantly, for Papí to come back home soon. Poetic, playful, and brimming with heart, Carmela Full of Wishes is a moving celebration of family, dreamers, and the power of hope found in the most unexpected places.
