Celebrated vocal coach Michael Maresca and choreographer Cassie Abate join the musical theatre faculty at Texas State University. Maresca will head musical theater voice and Abate will be the head of musical theatre dance. Texas State's musical theatre program has risen to national prominence since Broadway veteran Kaitlin Hopkins took the helm in the fall of 2009.
ZACH Unveils Nearly Completed Topfer Theatre

Though he is referring to Berlin's seedy Kit Kat Klub, the same can be said of The City Theatre. In here, life is many things: clever, engrossing, and always beautiful, even when the proceedings turn dark and sinister.

FronteraFest, one of Central Texas' most legendary performance events is pleased to announce its call for 2013 entries. FronteraFest is a collaboration between Hyde Park Theatre and ScriptWorks, a playwright development and service organization. Applications are available online on the Hyde Park Theatre website www.hydeparktheatre.org. The Fest is celebrating its twenty anniversary this year, with the Short Fringe kicking off January 15 - February 16 and the Long Fringe running from January 21 - February 3, 2013.

But before she leaves, Nan is going to act out all of Kyle's wrongdoings in front of him with a little help from her best friend Simon (acting as her emotional -- and actual -- cheerleader) and a stripper named Sweetheart (whose stage name is Bunny). Lauren Gunderson's gut-busting, outrageous revenge comedy is about dreams, healing, and the simple joy of duct-taping a dickhead to the living room chair.
