Grammy® Award-winner Gil Shaham is one of the foremost violinists of our time. His flawless technique, combined with his inimitable warmth and generosity of spirit, has solidified his renown as an American master. Shaham was one of the earliest performers to grace the Spivey Hall stage during the venue’s first full season (1991-92), so it’s only fitting that he returns to open Spivey Hall’s 35th season with longtime collaborator, Japanese-born pianist and composer Akira Eguchi, in a not-to-be-missed program of Beethoven violin sonatas. Enjoy a pre-concert talk with the performers at 2:15 p.m.
