Dominion Entertainment Group has announced the holiday musical, Black Nativity, A Holiday Gospel Celebration, directed by Robert John Connor, with music directed by Keith Wilson, and choreography by Dawn Axam. The Christmas story gets a soulful re-telling in this gospel musical that's fun for the whole family. Black Nativity is presented at Fulton County's Southwest Arts Center, tonight, December 4 - 21, 2014.
Muppets, Other Henson Memorabilia Available in Center for Puppetry Arts' Online Auction Today

The online auction includes items that have been donated from Steve Whitmire's private collection of Jim Henson-related memorabilia gathered throughout more than 36 years as a core performer in nearly every Muppet project produced for numerous television series, theatrical motion pictures, television specials, and albums. All auction proceeds go toward the funding of the new Museum, which will house the Jim Henson Collection at the Center for Puppetry Arts.

Last winter, when the world was sheathed in a shroud of ice, our hearts were warmed by the story of FROZEN. Now, as the mercury starts to drop, the classic tale of innocence, loyalty, and redemption will be brought back to life with Serenbe Playhouse's The Snow Queen. The world-premiere of Rachel Teagle's adaptation will give audiences the opportunity to embark with Gerda on her heralded quest to save her brother from the icy allure of the mysterious Snow Queen. The story, which showcases the true strength love can have over cynicism, is a sure-fire way to warm our hearts all winter long. 'When we decided to produce our first holiday show we knew it needed to be set in a cold environment,' Director and Founder Brian Clowdus tells us. 'The Snow Queen has such a strong message of redemption and loyalty - what we do for those we love, how to not judge a book by its cover - it was the perfect story for us to tell.'

In true storytelling fashion, audiences travel back to 19th century England for an incredibly personal and moving one-man version of the cherished story that grasps the true meaning of the holiday season - the joy of giving. Starring Aurora veteran Anthony P. Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta is planning a holiday canned food drive in conjunction with the Thanksgiving week engagement of "Dirty Dancing," playing as part of the 2014/2015 Broadway in Atlanta series at the Fox Theatre, November 25-30. All week long, patrons can donate non-perishable items that will help The Salvation Army to serve Atlanta-area families during the upcoming holiday season. On Thanksgiving only, guests who donate three or more items can take advantage of a $20 discount (dress circle only) for that evening's performance.
