While most of Atlanta is dreaming of warm spring walks in the park, Center for Puppetry Arts is already thinking ahead to the 2011 holiday season. The Center is currently preparing for the second year of Jon Ludwig's wildly successful adaptation of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The holiday favorite will return as part of the soon-to-be-announced 2011-12 season, playing November 1 – December 31, 2011.

In 2010, the Center partnered with Character Arts, LLC to adapt the famous 1964 televised tale of Rudolph and his misfit friends. The response was overwhelming with a record 91 sold-out performances, delighting audiences and garnering rave reviews.  More than 29,000 patrons attended the Center to see Rudolph, including approximately 110 school groups and over 40 birthday and holiday parties.

Tickets are on sale now. Memberships are also available; Members receive discounts on tickets and priority seating (with advanced reservation). Patrons are encouraged to book early to secure their place for another smashing year of Rudolph performances by visiting www.puppet.org or calling the Center at 404-873-3391. Guests can also sign up for the Center's email newsletter at www.puppet.org to receive news and announcements on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the remainder of the upcoming 2011-12 season and educational programming.
