Following the FIVE STAR success and rapturous reception of the cult sequel flop turned West End triumph, Cool Rider releases its Original Studio Recording on 29.06.15

The film told the heady and daring love story of two unlikely lovers and their road to romance from bowling alley to burger joint, sing-a-long-a-sex education class to talent show, and long (and beautifully lit) romantic motorcycle rides to a slightly incongruous luau ending.

Now, this smash hit concert has been reimagined as a brand new cast recording featuring the hit songs Who's That Guy?, Score Tonight, Cool Rider Reproduction, Girl for all Seasons and the haunting melody of Rock-a-Hula Luau (Summer Is Coming), and an incredible 10 piece band!

Celebrating the infamous styles, moves and wheels of the greatest high school of all time, the Cool Rider Original Studio Recording will pay homage to the concert, immortalising not only the unforgettable songs, but the work of Arranger and Orchestrator Lee Freeman.

Ashleigh Gray and Aaron Sidwell will return for another ride, with Reece Shearsmith leading the class again in a lesson on 'Reproduction'.

The rest of the principal cast includes: Niki Evans (X Factor, Blood Brothers, Legally Blonde), Mark Anderson (Book of Mormon, Mary Poppins), Bronté Barbé (Shrek), Daniel Buckley (Loserville, Book of Mormon), Joshua Dowen (Dogfight, The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee), Lucinda Lawrence (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Drunk, Chicago), Hannah Levane (Sister Act, We Will Rock You, High School Musical), and Niall Sheehy (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables).

Reece Shearsmith is best-known for his television work in The League of Gentlemen, Psychoville, Inside No 9 and The Widower. He recently starred on stage in Betty Blue Eyes at the Novello Theatre, The Producers at Theatre Royal Drury Lane and Ghost Stories at the Duke of York's Theatre.

Ashleigh Gray's many recent theatre credits include Elphaba on the UK Tour of Wicked, Martha in the UK Tour of The Secret Garden, Lorraine in the UK Tour of I Dreamed A Dream; Kim in the UK Tour of Taboo, Emily in Myths and Hymns at the Finborough Theatre and Miranda in Betwixt! at Trafalgar Studios. Ashleigh has also made guest appearances in Momentous Musicals, Susan Boyle in Concert, Lee Mead at The Pheasantry and West End Men.

Aaron Sidwell's career began at 18 when he was cast as Steven Beale in the BBC's long running drama EastEnders. Theatre includes Michael Dork in Loserville at the Garrick Theatre, Jack Sprat in the UK No.1 Tour of Carnaby Street, Ham in Children of Eden at the Prince of Wales Theatre and Kyle Gibson in The Prodigals at the Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh Festival.
