Touchstone Theatre Reveals 2026-27 Season Lineup

Touchstone Theatre is gearing up for their 2026-27 season, featuring brand new original performances, their annual theatrical staples, and several community storytelling experiences. The season runs from September 1 to June 30 at their intimate 77-seat venue on the Southside of Bethlehem, as well as other locations throughout the Lehigh Valley. Attendance is free or Pay-What-You-Will for many events; select events have an admission fee. This season includes work by the Touchstone Ensemble, local artists and organizers, and acclaimed guest artists from beyond the Lehigh Valley.

The centerpiece of this season is Touchstone's multi-year storytelling initiative, I Remember This Spot, which is part of their ongoing community-centric programming series, UnBound Year-Round. I Remember This Spot is a community storytelling project that explores the relationship between place and time by collecting the personal memories that make Bethlehem more than a city on a map. From story-gatherings, oral histories, archival deep dives, and man-on-the-street interviews, the stories of place will spring to life in an interactive geo-located app specific to different neighborhoods throughout Bethlehem. “Seeing this city through other people's eyes can help us not only feel more connected to each other, but more rooted to the place itself,” says Ensemble Member Mary Wright. “As each story gets added, the community begins to recognize itself more and more.”

A sampling of the delights you can expect from this year's season include The Poisoner, a neo-noir thriller about the deception, abuse of power, and utter negligence of early 2000s Midwestern water politics; The Southside Experience, a multi-media performance created by weaving together archival photos, music, and the personal stories of people who have lived, worked, and loved on the south side of the Lehigh River; and, Touchstone's 27th annual and much-loved Christmas City Follies, a one-of-a-kind homegrown holiday show featuring spirited songs, Santa-sized surprises, and more!
