Tommy Emmanuel CGP To Bring LIVING IN THE LIGHT Tour To Bilheimer Capitol Theatre
The GRAMMY-winning acoustic guitarist, inspired by mentor Chet Atkins, has headlined Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House.
The Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre will present Tommy Emmanuel, CGP, on his Living In The Light Tour. The performance is scheduled for December 12 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets will go on sale May 8 at 10:00 a.m.
Emmanuel, an Australian guitarist known for his fingerstyle technique, began touring at age six with his family’s band. He later built a career as a session musician and solo artist, performing internationally and collaborating with artists including Eric Clapton and John Denver. His work has included performances at venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall.
Inspired by guitarist Chet Atkins, Emmanuel launched his solo career in 1979 and has since released multiple instrumental albums. His latest release, Living In The Light, was recorded over four days and incorporates elements of pop, jazz, classical, and roots music.
