Ruth Eckerd Hall Will Present AMERICA on The Happy Trails Tour 2026
The classic-rock band performs at the Clearwater venue following their acclaimed 55th anniversary tour
Ruth Eckerd Hall has announced that America will perform as part of The Happy Trails Tour 2026 on Friday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m.
Formed in 1970, America rose to prominence with its debut single A Horse with No Name and went on to achieve commercial success throughout the decade. The band’s catalog includes songs such as Ventura Highway, Tin Man, Lonely People, and Sister Golden Hair, which became staples of 1970s rock radio.
The group earned the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1972 and later collaborated with producer George Martin on a series of albums and hit singles. Over the decades, the band has continued to release new material and archival projects, including anniversary collections and live recordings.
Recent releases include America – Live From The Hollywood Bowl 1975, featuring restored recordings from a symphonic performance conducted by George Martin, and a 50th anniversary expanded edition of the album Hearts. The band is also the subject of the documentary I Need You: 53 Years Of The Band America, which has screened at film festivals.

Tickets for the October 2 performance will go on sale Friday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m. Prices begin at $68.50 and will be available through the Raymond James Central Ticket Office at Ruth Eckerd Hall, by phone, or online.
