boice-Terrel Allen, Podcaster/Author/Musician

boice-Terrel Allen is a podcaster, author and musician originally from Pittsburgh and currently lives in New York City. He's published three books of fiction (Screwball Comedy/Stories Going Steady, Janet Hurst and The Daughters of a Mother), edited an anthology of multicultural fiction and poetry (Coloring Book) and released two music albums (How to Be an Adult and Get Me Audio, Vol. 1). His podcast, Talk Music Talk, originated in 2015 and has released over 160 episodes. Talk Music Talk is a weekly interview podcast featuring long-form discussions with singers, songwriters, authors, producers and others who are connected to music of all genres. The show can be streamed on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, SoundCloud and is also available as an app.

Sarah Elizabeth Charles, Vocalist/Composer

Sarah Elizabeth Charles is a rising vocalist/composer based in New York City. She has worked and studied with artists such as George Cables, Geri Allen, Nicholas Payton, Sheila Jordan, Jimmy Owens and Carmen Lundy and released her debut record, "Red" in September of 2012 with her band SCOPE. As the active vocalist in a number of bands (including SCOPE, AJOYO, Transient Beings, Enoch Smith Jr. and Benjamin Rando) Charles has performed at many venues throughout her career. These have included the White House, Carnegie Hall, the first annual Culture Summit in Abu Dhabi, The Kennedy Center, the Bern International Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival, the Sicca Jazz Festival in Tunisia, the Blue Note in New York City, Gillette Stadium as a National Anthem singer for the New England Patriots, the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival, the Burlington Jazz Festival, the Apollo Music Café, Le Poisson Rouge, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, the Rose Theatre with Jazz at Lincoln Center and many more.

In addition to her performances, Charles is also an active educator. She works as a teaching artist with Carnegie Hall's Sing Sing Correctional Facility, Lullaby and Future Music Project Youth workshops, has a private lessons studio in New York City, teaches at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music and is developing an early childhood music education program with Rise2Shine, a non-profit organization based in Fond Parisien, Haiti.

Charles' musical output has been described as a "genre of one" (DownBeat Magazine), "soulfully articulate" (NY Times) and "an unmatched sound" (Jay Z's Life+Times). Her critically acclaimed sophomore project, Inner Dialogue, released in 2015 on Truth Revolution Records, features her band along with co-producer/special guest Christian Scott. Her third album, Free of Form is now available everywhere on Ropeadope/Stretch Music and features SCOPE as well as Scott as co-producer/special guest. The City and Horses

Following in the footsteps of melodic mopers before them, The City and Horses make sad songs that sound happy. Frontman Marc Cantone, who works as a children's television producer by day, makes idiosyncratic indie pop that's all about the funk (emotional and otherwise). And the emotional funk is a key aspect of the band. Having spent his adult life in the throes of OCD, Marc has become a dedicated supporter of mental health rights and issues. The band's fourth full-length album, RUINS - a genre hopping lament about a love triangle between Marc, an ex-girlfriend and his OCD - was released by Paper Garden Records 2017. Corbu

Corbu is a band from New York who makes psychedelic-infused, electronic indie rock, abstracted and influenced by dreams and altered consciousness. The project is a collective of musicians led by multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Jonathan Graves, who grew up singing at Catholic weddings and playing hockey, both of which would influence his music later on. After their debut single "We Are Sound" was premiered in dramatic fashion by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1, Corbu released two acclaimed EPs and a series of art-centric music videos, before finishing their debut album Crayon Soul with Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, MGMT, Flaming Lips) in 2016.

Sometimes dark and instrospective, sometimes flourescent and ecstatic,Crayon Soul was premiered by the NME, who described it as "awe-inspiring, spaced-out majesty," and earned them a string of dates opening for Bloc Party and Goldfrapp, as well as festival appearances at Austin City Limits and Electric Forest 2017. In its short public existence, band has also garnered praise from the Guardian, NYLON, Interview Magazine, Stereogum, DIY and Earmilk. Corbu is currently recording the follow-up to Crayon Soul.
