Springer Opera House to Host Book Signing with Legendary Character Actor and Author Stephen Tobolowsky The quintessential character actor Stephen Tobolowsky has appeared in hundreds of television shows and films during his career, including memorable roles in GROUNDHOG DAY, SPACEBALLS, MISSISSIPPI BURNING, and CALIFORNICATION. He is currently starring in HBO's SILICON VALLEY, THE GOLDBERGS, and Norman Lear's recent revival of ONE DAY AT A TIME. A masterful story-teller, his serial radio podcast of autobiographical stories, THE TOBLOWSKY FILES, has become a cult phenomenon and platform for his witty and introspective stories of life, love, triumph, catastrophe, and the entertainment industry. The stories shared on his podcast became the basis for his first book, The Dangerous Animals Club, as well as the inspiration for his most recent book, My Adventures with God, the story of his lifelong relationship to spirituality, and particularly Judaism, told through reflections of his time growing up in Texas, his early years as an actor and his becoming a husband and father.

The Springer Opera House will host Stephen Tobolowsky at a book signing meet and greet event in McClure Theatre at the Springer on Friday, January 12 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Books will be available to purchase at the event. Light refreshments will be served and beer and wine will be available for purchase. This is a free event and the general public is invited to attend. The entrance to McClure Theatre is located on 1st Avenue, around the corner from the main entrance to the Springer Opera House.

Tobowlowsky will appear as a featured guest artist at the State Theatre Gala on Saturday, January 13 at the Springer Opera House. The black tie event will honor Paul Pierce on his 30th anniversary season as Producing Artistic Director of the Springer Opera House. Tickets are still available for the State Theatre Gala and may be purchased at the Springer's Box Office located at 103 10th Street, by calling 706-327-3688, or online at springeroperahouse.org.
